The reason most people I know went to GameStop instead of the BX/PX is that their selection sucked. Most games weren't available on the date they were released or they only had a few of a big title that were gone shortly after release. The BX I went to just started moving the current gen games front and center about a year ago. Before that, the PS2 and Xbox 1 games were prominently displayed with the PS3 and 360 games on a shelf to the side. This is at Eglin, which is the largest base in the world (land wise). AAFES just doesn't keep up with gaming unless you don't care about older stuff.

Not weird...just a lame April Fools joke. Anything I read this time of year that sounds even a little fishy, I'm not buying it.

I subscribed to Maxim back in my early twenties. It's nice to pick it up to look through every now and then, but I dropped my subscription for a reason. They just rehash the same crap over an over again with nothing new to add. Half of the magazine is ads for garbage. The "reviews" section was a joke. It's obvious that they're paid to give everything good remarks. I won't deny that others don't do this as well, but at least they try to make it look legit. My sympathies to those getting this. I would say to opt for the refund.

I started reading back in 2005. I was looking for information on the 360 when I found an article on Engadget. They had links to Joystiq that I followed and caused me to be hooked ever since. Things took a turn for the worse when our proxy started blocking Joystiq at work (Smartfilter). Luckily, I managed it and made an exception for me :)

I second that. I am fairly confident that Microsoft errs on the side of caution before just resetting a gamerscore.

While this is true, it will become a contest to see who can release the hacked ROM first (similar to movie releases). Sure, there will be somewhat of a delay, but I don't think this will make a big difference. I guess we'll know soon enough.

The harrassment was completely uncalled for and should not be tolerated. I hope they catch those that did this. On the other hand, she can't get upset if she is banned for a clear violation of their rules. I really don't care what your sexual preference is, but I do know that having fun playing a game has nothing to do with it.
