Mass Effect 3 single-player review: This is it
Mar 6th 2012 9:23AM (Joystiq)You made it through FO3 twice? I've played ME 1 and 2 twice (male paragon, female renegade) and couldn't finish FO3 at all. I had max leveled in that game before I even met my father again (spoiler? screw it, everyone who wants to play that game has played it by now) and I was just too bored with it to continue. I spent so much time exploring, doing side quests, and trying to beef up that I got burned out before really progressing the story.
Nexuiz review: Red, blue and borrowed
Mar 3rd 2012 11:01AM (Joystiq)The game managed to copy the feel of UT or Q3A perfectly, and it was fun during those times. But the weapons were random, I have no idea what the pickups that weren't armor shards did, and using graphical bars things like health and armor instead of actual numbers was a bad idea.
Your guide to Mass Effect 3's Kinect voice commands
Feb 23rd 2012 4:21PM (Joystiq)Have you tried the tuner? If your Kinect can't hear you over your TV noise, you should probably run that or (last resort) move your Kinect. I actually put mine on the top of my TV recently, and my whole experience got better (device is about chest height now, sees me better).
Your guide to Mass Effect 3's Kinect voice commands
Feb 23rd 2012 4:17PM (Joystiq)There were a few times where using voice made less sense (opening doors, activating switches, things like that), but using powers was WAY better. If you're a fan of the series and don't have to constantly look at the powers to remember what each one does, using voice gets it done much better.
SSX online pass doesn't lock out multiplayer
Jan 31st 2012 1:12PM (Joystiq)Hasn't almost every game recently released by Ubisoft for PC been broken by DRM? Because I don't remember having any DRM issues with AC: Brotherhood on my 360.
Call of Duty Elite's mobile app launches tomorrow on iOS, next week on Android
Jan 9th 2012 1:46PM (Joystiq)That's the only reason I've used Elite so far anyway. And the few times I've used it that way, it's been to show a buddy with a PS3 what my setup is on my 360 (because you apparently can't track players cross-platform). But those few times, I've been at a computer, and I'd rather just pull up the site (when it works).
