Rumormilll: Ferrari-powered 2011 Dodge Caravan R/T coming?

Aug 12th 2010 3:17PM (Autoblog)
Chrysler could trade some of those Routans for Volkswagon W8 engines -- those'd probably fit.

Report: Carroll Shelby done with building cars, wants to sell more parts

Jun 4th 2010 3:14PM (Autoblog)
We need a new Cobra. Not a mustang variant, a new Cobra for real.

The 2011 Mustang 5.0 running gear is the modern incarnation of the Ford small block. The Mazda Miata is the modern incarnation of the lightweight, tossable British Roadster. Add some wide wheels and fender flairs, a pair of white stripes and hopefully a rollbar and you've recreated the Shelby Cobra with modern components, more or less in-house for Ford, from the parts bin. Heck, sell a 3.7 version too and it would still be roughly twice as powerful as the Miata and get better mileage. Mazda's having trouble moving Miatas but I bet Ford could sell Cobras as fast as they could make them.

Setting up your audio just right

Feb 3rd 2009 8:37AM (WoW)
The open source Vent replacement Mumble has WoW 3d positional audio just as you describe in your article.

I can't tell you how it works since the interface/server setup is godawful complicated.

Why build a whole new dealer network? Badge 'em as Mitsubishis and sell 'em through the existing dealer network.

Joystiq hands-on: Skate

May 12th 2007 2:17PM (Joystiq)
I'm not sure this isn't a sequel... I had EA's skate or Die on my C64. Hope this is as good as that. Graphics better be an improvements though.

Paris Motor Show: Hyundai Coupe (Tiburon)

I like it a lot. It looks like hot Japanese cars used to -- and don't any more. Lean, angular and sexy. I notice they've cleaned up some awkward lines in front of the front wheels near the very bottom of the skirt. The previous car looked wrong from just about everything but straight side-on. They could still clean up the front 'braces' though.

'Unfortunately, the tangibility of these upgrades isn't always apparent, so it can sometimes feel as though you're plunging money into nothing.'

Wow, you couldn't ask for a better summation of the Dyansty/Samarai Warriors sequels.

Rabbit, Run: It keeps going... and going...

They should bring us the Polo and call that tne new Rabbit -- seems more in the spirit of the old Rabbit

PS3 delay won't hurt Sony?

Feb 23rd 2006 6:32PM (Joystiq)
They have to push the Japan launch back -- but they'll claim it's because the launch roster isn't ready. Do any of the developers even have their final devkits yet? Seems to me they're about where the 360 was a year ago.

Copy-protection on next-gen DVDs is killing the future

Feb 17th 2006 12:38AM (Engadget HD)
Pretty much all the HDTVs on sale now support HDCP. Most of the HDTVs from last year did as well. The one I bought did, but then again, I saw this coming.
