@st3v3n HEAVY RAIN totally made me cry. When the PS3 "Leap Year" glitch wiped out my game save 8 hours into it. I never went back. (Press "X" to piss off)
I need to go on record as one that does allow long load times (and, on another topic, long cutscenes) to dictate my purchase. Basically, anything that takes time away from the actual gameplay is something I'm against. Like many, I purchase more games than I could ever possibly finish. The reality for me is that I have precious few game hours in any given week, and I don't want to sit on the couch looking at a load screen (or a system update screen) any more than I possibly have to. - MNR has been the top game on my radar for months, but after reading multiple reviews bitching about the load times...I'm no longer a day one purchaser. Too many other quality games out right now.
I don't think it looked that bad. Kind of jaggy, but fun. I loved the Dreamcast version (except the load times were among the worst ever...seriously). If we are lucky it might be $10 (probably $15), but I'm all for more arcade racers (can we get a new RUSH game, please?)
I wish someone would kick out a side-scrolling football game. There were some cool ones for Atari 800/Commodore 64 back in the day - and of course Tecmo ruled when it came out.
I wonder why it's been all top to bottom instead of left to right for the past 20 years?
But, I'm with you guys - the Madden monopoly of the NFL license has only been good for one thing...making EA all richie rich.
Ok, Lawyers - get ready for the techy class action suit of all time. If game saves are deleted, this is going to be one very difficult situation for SONY. What is it worth if one has corrupted game save after this? Corrupted downloads, etc. What is my time worth to have to re-download/install?
I would like to start the bidding at 2 FREE games (consumers choice) for anyone who has purchased a PS3 fat. How far would you go, SONY, to save someone you loved...
And, an open word to David Cage...How many players (like myself) have waited years for your game only to have the system crash 5 days after launch. I've only put about 4 or 5 hours into HEAVY RAIN, and I'm pretty sure I won't ever be going back and replaying what I've already been through if my game save has been deleted.
I would like to order more Crackdowns, please. The jumping was awesome. I honestly enjoyed it more than the recent games in the Grand Theft Auto series.
I think it's debatable. The same album can be purchased for $9.99 on itunes, or .99 per song, and you get the entire album in a medium that is portable and reusable enough to allow you to play your music whereever you want. Should we feel justified to spend more for the music b/c it incorporates the game function, or should we be paying less b/c it is strictly confined to that platform and therefore just an expansion to a piece of software? I think it's got Horse Armor written all over it.
Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but are all the full album releases on Rock Band priced at $20? That's higher than the actual album. wtf? Have other full album releases come out priced as such?
Plus, they don't include "Give it Away"?? (I understand it's in rock band 2, but so what?). They could've made up for this omission by including "Soul to Squeeze" which was intended for this record, but ultimately left out for a future Greatest Hits.
Plus, the name of the songs are "Lovely Man" and (the greatest RHCP song of all IMHO) "Sir Psycho Sexy".
Twenty Bucks? Seems like a pretty significant rip off. Of course, I still bitch about paying $60 for new releases, so what do I know?
