XBL GM responds to Live security concerns

I don't even use my real name or any real info. My xbox account doesn't match any of my other accounts. Still got hacked MS....

XBL GM responds to Live security concerns

Feb 7th 2012 5:21PM (Joystiq)
This is just insulting! I've been hacked and having them try and tell us that it's our fault is just a insult to our intelligence. Obviously they have a flaw in their system otherwise the attacks wouldn't all have the same result. That is the hacker buying crap with FIFA. Also I wish i could increase my security measures but there is nothing else i can do. They won't even let me remove my credit card from my account without cancelling my account. I do not trust them to reinstate it and I'm afraid to lose all my gamerscore points. Looks like I have to wait for my card to expire.

Microsoft confirms Xbox dash video issues, is working on a fix

Jan 20th 2012 4:08PM (Joystiq)
I've rented a few movies on my projector for the first time on xbox video marketplace. I noticed it right away but chalked it up to MS crappy video streaming. It's good to hear it's a issue because the movies looked washed out on my wall.

Xbox Live 'FIFA hack' concerns continue to escalate, Microsoft states Windows Live ID not compromised

Jan 4th 2012 1:50PM (Joystiq)
My account was FIFA hacked as well. I asked them to remove my credit card info from the account and they said that they can't they would have to cancel my account and start a new one. Then issue me a credit for my live time left. They never said if I would lose my gamertag. I just let them fix it. It took almost 90 days.

Metareview: Rage

I have to admit I was totally blown away at the sheer gorgeousness upon exiting the vault. I found 2 flaws almost immediately though. My joystiq center drifts in this game and only this game. It's annoying that every time I stop the screen slowly moves to the left. Also the first group on enemies you encounter are really lacking any hit detection. Their bodies just don't seem affected in the least by the gunfire, that is of course until they are dead.

Bad Company 2 VIP Map Pack 3 coming this week

Jun 7th 2010 2:59PM (Joystiq)
EA doesn't have the right to call them a map pack. This is a should have been in the game pack!

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 won't put up a fight against XBL party chat

Dec 10th 2009 9:32AM (Joystiq)
It's important to me because I play with my nephew and my son. My son has a kids account but I have his online voice access limited to those in his friends list. We have 2 tv's setup side by side with 2 xbox's. If we want to play online in CODMW2 one of us cannot talk to my nephew now where as in every other game we can . I don't want to subject my kid to all the nastiness that happens online. Being a responsible parent I'm being penalized by infinity wards new policy.
But on to EA's problems. EA doesn't allow a kids account to even play their M rated games online. That means you could be 16 and not be able to play even with your parents permission. They've taken it upon themselves to police their own games. They are the only dev to do this and it really irks me. I would have never setup my kids account as such if I new they could do this. So EA can advertise whatever they want it doesn't really matter for the people it might affect the most.

Hands-on: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta

Looks like they skipped the ability to go prone again.
