@MEGATOOL Mega Tool by name...

Resistance: Burning Skies trailer pulls out the big guns

@aaronharmon

I haven't tried as yet. I'll have to get back to you on that score. But certainly, in normal mode, twin sticks feels far better as a control option than the standard PSP control scheme.

Resistance: Burning Skies trailer pulls out the big guns

In the mean-time, `resistance retribution plays beautifully on the Vita, as you can assign the right stick to mirror the face buttons for aiming. Works brilliantly.

How to play Xenoblade Chronicles if you live in America

Aug 22nd 2011 12:52PM (Joystiq)
@(Unverified)

Funnily enough, Europeans say the same thing when games released in America take ages to make their way across the Atlantic - or not at all.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what side of the pond you're on - region coding sucks. It sucks when it applies to DVDs and Blu-Rays and it sucks when it applies to videogames.

God of War 'Master Collection' spotted on Amazon.de

Jul 26th 2011 11:06AM (Joystiq)
@(Unverified) Dude, I loved Betrayal. It was a great little game. I'd love to play through it again on PSP or PSĀ£ (maybe as a PSN Mini?). Even better, reformat the graphics to fit a 16:9 screen. It was an awesome game for mobile phones and it definitely deserves it's lace among the rest of the God of War titles.

Plus they'll still be able use an adroit controller with their mangled digits afterward.

'Adroit' controller line to make games more accessible

Jun 25th 2011 11:06AM (Joystiq)
@Dashx747 One thing that Sony & Microsoft could do immediately to help disabled gamers would be to introduce button remapping as part of their consoles' OSes. This'd also be of benefit to ALL gamers. Personally, it really bugs me if a game only allows me to use certain button setups, and not the ones I'd prefer to use, like forcing me to use R1/L1 as triggers in Uncharted. I'd like to use R2/L2 as that feels more natural to me.

If it can be done on PC, it can be done on XBox/PS3

Bizarre Creations closes its doors this Friday

Feb 15th 2011 8:13AM (Joystiq)
My old flatmate Vince worked for Bizarre. He really seemed to love his job, and the games that he worked on.

Shutting Bizarre seems like such a backward decision, but that seems to be Activision all over at the moment.

Stil, Vince is ok. He & his missus are moving to Canada, where he'll be working for Ubisoft. Hurrah!

Dead Space 2 creative director denies satirizing Scientology

Feb 3rd 2011 12:04PM (Joystiq)
Any religion - indeed any institution - is fair game for satirization. There are no exceptions. And certainly not from a mind-bending cult that believes we're possessed by the souls of dead aliens.

New Wii 'laptop' mod is super portable, super awesome

@Giovanni117

If by 'awesome' you mean it looks like an Atari Lynx had sex with a tupperware box, I agree.
