Xbox 360 Elite: HDMI-enabled black unit in late April for $479, limited-edition

Mar 20th 2007 7:30PM (Joystiq)
Your a fool if you fall for this April fool's joke...
I've seen Dev Kits, they are black, I actually talk to a Microsoft guy who works on the games with the 360. He says all their dev kits are black.

Weekly Webcomic Wrapup: now in Cockney!

How is PBF not going to win, by far the best. PA was not funny at all, it was just a bit of story telling, probably a build up to future strips, because as such it had no comedy value.

Wii can run back-ups without a mod chip?

In future, read the YouTube comments as well... I cannot say if they were posted before hand though (YoutTube timestamps suck)

Wii can run back-ups without a mod chip?

Feb 27th 2007 11:55PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Please, if you were following what was going on then you would know what what this does is temporarily patch the Wii firmware to allow for backups. Not sure if for imports.
I think it's SYNDiCATE's "iso loader". The thing with this is once you turn off the Wii, the patch is lost, so you have to connect it to a PC every time, apply the patch and run the game... this is not as comfortable as a modchip, but then again you could mod the Wii and mod chips to run via parralel ports for a fast swap and disconnect. I believe someone has done something like that already.
I hear that sometimes you'll need to turn of the Wii for some time to get normal functionality back, so no idea what that's about.

Shadow of the Colossus cameo in new Sandler, Cheadle flick

Jan 31st 2007 8:11PM (Joystiq)
Well it should have been clear that Sandler was going for serious after Click, the first half being typical and the second being more emotional. I think maybe he wants to become a serious acter now.
And that game is one of my favourites ever.

ftrunks are you sure? Where abouts do you live, there are enough here in stock in Birmingham. Go to your local Woolworths and see if they have one.

People who play WoW are very sad in deed, it is basically just pong. Always the same action over and over again.

Retro Atari 2600 commercial is a thing of beauty

Jan 17th 2007 9:10AM (Joystiq)
The German commercial is horrible, especially the way they talk. No one talks like that, not even back then... and wtf is wrong with the kid's face.
