Only one reason I didn't bite:

No split-screen multiplayer.

There's nothing better than having a go with your friend in the same room. Clearly Epic saw that this was a significant drawing point, which is why they created the split-screen mode for the 360 version. But not having it on PS3 is just damning for me.

I'm with you on that one. If it can be on both platforms, that would be a totally ideal situation. But considering the way Activision has handled their franchise (Artist exclusivity contracts, not supporting Rock Band peripherals despite the 'open' standard, requiring EA to pay for the right to release a PS3 patch to use the Les Paul in RB, etc.) I'd say that's a slim-to-none proposition. In that case, I hope Harmonix/EA/MTV come out on top. I totally prefer the GH peripherals, but Harmonix is the tru innovators and they always bring something unique and exciting to the table.
