Hopefully it's a F2P PC Halo FPS.... that's good.

Ubisoft hopes to negate the need for DRM with support and content

Mar 25th 2012 7:41PM (Joystiq)
Yes!!! Thank you Ubisoft for finally getting it! Good to see that they've taken gamers complaints to heart.

I'm guessing there lackluster sales because of the intrusive DRM coupled with the fact that it simply didn't work also contributed to this decision.

@SmoothC911 I love me some BF3 myself, but decided to give MW3 a try on a free-to-play weekend on PC recently. Couldn't stand the game, just pales in comparison to BF3, especially if you've played any of the MW's or ones in between, then you've basically already played the game.

You know, when they say 9-3-12 at the end it makes me freak out for a second thinking that it's coming out in September and not March.

@katssun Yeah yeah, you just want her to be legal so you don't feel so guilty about your thoughts anymore.

MLG moves more than 100 domains in opposition of SOPA

Jan 7th 2012 6:42PM (Joystiq)
@TaengtheHero Do you not know what SOPA entitles and just why it's important that companies do all they can to discourage it? If it passes, the government will have the right to basically block off any website they please from American ISPs. Yeah sure they say it's to prevent pirating and to protect people, but this is exactly what countries like China do to their citizens so that they basically can't read anything that could potentially be anti-China. You can bet your ass that if the government sees something that they don't like or don't want people to know they'll use this newfound power to blacklist it.

Xbox.com issue causes risk of accidental purchases

Jan 5th 2012 6:29PM (Joystiq)
I've had a few incidents with my kids where my card is saved to my account and if my Xbox is on and at the dashboard, if they just press "a" a bunch of times they'll buy whatever's currently being advertised. I've probably spent $120 or so now on random shit. My fault for leaving the card saved on there at first but the other time Xbox was in the process of refunding me for something and I had to leave the card on the account so that could refund to it and it happened. So very convenient that you can buy anything that is listed by simply pressing "a" over and over.

To be clear they bought:
COD: BLOPS full game (hate COD since they started rehashing it)
Sonic Free Riders full game (i have Kinect but still haven't bothered to actually download this)
A bunch of microsoft points once (I could at least use those for something I wanted)

12 Days of Joyswag: Nintendo 3DS plus eight games (and a ton of Skylanders)
