Proof that using a DSLR doesn't make a good picture. hell, there were a few blurry shots in there! Great picture of the bottom plate.... and the wires! A good compact would take better shots than this. It would FORCE the photographer to capture the entire product.
If you're looking at the Nikon D40, you also need to look at the Canon XTi (10MP), Olympus E-500 (8MP + 2 lens), Pentax K10D (10MP). They're a few dollars more, but I think anyone of them is better than the D40.
Dunno about the new Polaroid's, but I bought a Polaroid 26" FLM-2601 about a year and a half ago. It just died a few weeks ago. So after a week of deciding, I bought a Sony Bravia 32", while I'm working with the credit card company regarding my Buyers Assurance plan. I was also looking at the Samsung 32" and a Westinghouse 32". Just liked the PQ of this Sony. The Samsung had 2 HDMI ports, and the Westinghouse was really cheap.
I have On Demand through my cable, and I don't have to wait for movies to download. No HDTV movies, but now Netflix has Bluray and HDDVD discs for rent.... so why the hype?
It's an extension of their console system to encompass their "media center" strategy, just like what everyone else is trying to do.
"You can only download content to your Xbox 360 drive -- not to an external drive."
So I could buy a TV show, but it's tied to the console... I can't even transfer it to my computer or even an external drive?
"Movies can be watched an unlimited number of times the first 24 hours. Plays after that period will cost the same as the initial download, although the movie data isn't necessarily deleted. You can keep the movie data on your drive up to 14 days without re-downloading it."
So if I rent a movie for x points, and if I don't watch it within 24 hours, I have to rent it again for x points? The only difference is that it's now on the HDD? After 14 days, I need to re-download it?
Sounds good if you don't read the bullets... I'll stick with Netflix.
