Feb 27th 2011 12:45AM (Download Squad)Also the icon is wrong and if you search through the code for the official Google Talk app, it explicitly checks the user agent to see if Chrome OS is running not for the panel feature.
Plus the new experimental panel feature you mentioned isn't even enabled in Chrome OS, the one currently used in Chrome OS is really just a pop up window (all pop ups in Chrome OS are displayed as panels or tabs).

2) Native Client unlike Active X is also available as an NPAPI plugin for other browsers and OSes (this is something you missed in your article).
Also, Javascript will never be as fast as native code.
