DigitalFoundry compares Assassin's Creed II on 360, PS3

Nov 20th 2009 10:41AM (Joystiq)
You'd think Sony would have learned from these comparisons and bump up the default contrast in the latest software upgrades.

Although, for gameplay I do like to have my contrast down a bit, so I can see people lurking in the shadows.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 looking to catch MW2-jaded PC gamers on the rebound

Nov 10th 2009 9:14PM (Joystiq)
I'm starting to feel like I'm missing out somehow by not playing COD or Battlefield obsessively.

I've played all of the COD's aside from MW2, no Battlefield yet. But for some reason I don't have the level of enthusiasm that it seems the entire gaming community has over these games.

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ deck ain't no half-steppin'

Oh yeah, interactive, get a nice workout in the process. They could call it "Wii Fit"

See, I have a completely different idea for a "Wii Fit" game. You have to pump iron to get a robotic real doll to suck you off. The harder you push yourself, the harder she works it.

You get ripped and have a great time.

This is great for anyone. Even if you have no problem getting real girls. You will have trouble getting them to participate with your "motivational" workouts on a regular basis.

I know, right? DJ Hero looks more like the old school turn tables we used to use. With buttons on the records.

Maybe Konami will release "DJ Revolution" globally after at least two other franchises dominate, they can make all of the original mixes from terrible sounding covers, then leave out half of the features.

Tim Schafer presents: Brutal Legend Multiplayer Deathmatch

Multiplayer co-op on the other hand. That might have been "face melting" (amazing).

On that note, keep drinking Vault.

Rumor: Gran Turismo 5 to feature track editor

Nov 3rd 2009 12:57AM (Joystiq)
OH GOD NO!! As a little kid I spent hours trying to figure out why my custom course would not save in Excite Bike. I read and re-read the manual countless times. Tried many tricks. Now 20 some years later I realize that it was a Japanese feature that was left out of the US release, due to us not having the NES disk system. But they let us think our custom course was being saved/loaded anyway by giving us the option. Heartless bastards!

Damn. I'm going to have to get all of my friends to start using Skype.
