What about PS3? Oh yes, cost! I am certainly not going to pay £450-500 for a console. It's flipping ridiculous. Frankly, if I can afford to spend that much money on something, it will be upgrades to my TV, my Mac, and even a second console (a Wii), not a glorified media center.

If only it worked for iMacs! Then I would never have to put my mouse pointer near the edge of the screen to switch desktops ever again!

When you consider the relative pricing of each system, then you would expect quality titles. Sony equipment comes at a real premium - I expect to have a massive majority of quality games if I am to spend upwards of £100 extra on hardware. As it turns out, there are a huge amount of games on both systems which score highly, and the fact that the PSP (a machine financed by the biggest asian hardware company outside of Matsushita) has only 5 (count 'em!) games of 80+ more than a system whose games are £25 or less is actually a surprise.
Before anyone bites back with "It's a media player" or "it's an internet browser", I already have 2 each of those things. A television, an iPod, a Mac and a Nokia 770. What I bought a PSP for is gaming on the move. With a 2 hr battery life (on graphics hungry games) I can barely keep in running on an average plane ride.

And your bashing of the DS games quality is different, how? You should honestly check out any one of a million Nintendo sites, or even normal gaming forums. Very fw people who like the DS actually "run rampant" with fanboyism. They have usually played or owned both systems, and chosen which they like more. PSP owners, in general, have had less experience with other consoles. Of the 17 people that I know own a PSP, only 3 have a DS or console other than a playstation, or PC.

I definately plan to get a 17" iMac 1.83GhZ. My dad has come into some compo money, and so I have a grand to play with. A 17" with 1Gb RAM and wireless keyboard and mouse will suit me nicely, thanks.
