When a game sells as well as Bioshock did, sequels are inevitable. Even if the game doesn't deserve a sequel in as far as the story goes. Making games is a business.

I used to love the firts Burnout game on the Gamecube. Played it for hours on end. Did anyone else stick with the series from the start? Are the recent Burnout games anything like the first one?
And what would you recommend to a Burnout 1 fan, Revenge or Paradise?

I couldn't agree more. I'm stuck half way through the game due to the game breaking bug in Waters Of Life. Which means I'm stuck waiting for a patch before I can play one. And I'm pretty hecked off about it to be honest.

I don't think people would have complained if you just reached level 20 later in the game.
But these same people probably done lots of exploring and side quests which is why they leveled up so early.

Two questions:
1. Will this work for europeans?
2. Can you get banned for doing this?

I started this at the weekend. It's not great, but it's not bad. It doesn't deserver the slating it's getting. I'd give it 6/10 myself, but there's not a great deal of hack n slash this generation and so it's worth getting if that's what you're into. It's a damned sight better than Beowulf, that's for sure.

If there isn't at leats another island, I'll be dissapointed.

You see, I think the idea is that it isn't a weapon per se. It's an engineers tool being used as a weapon, because this engineer got caught in this situation.

It may not have had much of a story line. But people might see "Doom IV" and think "oh, I haven't played the first three, I'll give that a miss. Whereas "Doom: Nukem" might attract new players to the franchise.

Rebooting franchises seems to be the "in thing". It's a good idea imo. Because people who haven't played previous games in a series might be put off jumping in part of the way through.
