Excessive narrarration, whether in games or in the movies, is annoying and sloppy. Tell your story with gameplay and character interaction, and not with a non stop voice over. Imagine if that same mechanic was used in Batman, Saints Row, Escape Goat, Heroes of Might and Magic, etc.

If there was non stop narrarration in the Lord of the Rings films, would that be OK? 9 hours of someone reading the book to you while watching a movie based on what that person is reading would get annoying fast.

Does this make the game terrible? For me - absolutely. But I can see why others might like other aspects (art style, music) of this game. But there were far more deserving 2011 titles that should have been in the top 10.

I was really looking forward to this until I played the demo on the 360. While it looked amazing, the controls felt sloppy, making the game harder than it should be. It was also rather boring. (I turned it off halfway through the shooting level.)

I enjoyed Escape Goat way more than this.

Flip MinoHD for me ... but the main gift was watching my kids open their presents ... I now live in Little Mermaid land
