The thing I have learned being a Sony fan is that you have to assume every screenshot is pre-renderd because %99 of the time they are. How many time do we need to get dissapointed when the actual game is released. Dont you remember the discussion when the motorstorm vids came out "oh that has to be in-game" , "no way thats pre-renderd" I would put my money on pre-renderd all the way in this case though

i got to my local EB to late, they had 6 the funny thing was nobody in the line that got one is keeping it they were all for ebay! wtf

#15 Please dont give us real PS3fanboys a bad name by spitting out a bunch of garbage. As much as I would like to think they waited to get all the bugs out that is not the case, they waited because they couldnt get the parts they needed to get the thing built and here we are almost a month from launch and they just starting producing them in the last few weeks so where is all the testing time on this first run of machines? I am afraid it will be the PSP all over again.

The main problem I have with them is after all this extra time they never came up with a good online plan!! If you are not going to give the rest of us any credibility then just shut up and stop posting!

I find it hard to beleive they have got 1 million preorders when hardly anyone is even takin gpreorders yet. That means nobody will be taking them at all from now on because they would be sold out for the rest of the year.

What does it matter about Xbox and gamecube? The xbox replacment has been out for almost a year now so I would hope they would be focusing mor eon the current gen console.

The fact that devs cant put support for online gaming in huge! If Sony is that far behind on getting the online up and running to the point that devs dont even have what they need to implement it, I have a hard time beleiving it will be a factor at all in persuading people to buy a PS3. If I was looking at two games with identical graphics and one system costs $200 less AND has a robust online component ummm isnt that the definition of a no-brainer!

You cannot compare the PS3 online strategy to xbox live when it came out. First of all the PS3 will be competing with the 360 not the XBOX and when live came out there was no alternative for online console gaming so people had no choice but to let MS take their time and perfect it. Why would people want to wait around for sony to take a year or so to do the same when their IS an alternative solution out there. It sounds to me like Sony is going to let the developers handle everything the way they want. Big mistake if they want to compete with Live! Like was discussed before I would hate to have to sign up with every company and have 100 different gamertags each time I played a different game. I playes PS2 online and while there was good experiences here and there, overall it sucked! And to the post about PS3s main selling point being Blu Ray. That may be Sony's plan but thats not the reason I would want to buy it, I want to play games, i dont care about watching bluray movies or giving developers gobs of space to fill the disc with extra prerendered movies and xtras that I will never use.

Are you kidding me? They hype up the online experience we are all going to have and then we find out they are going to use this crappy software to run it? I have used xfire on PC and it is a novalty at best!! Why even compare it to xbox live unless its worth comparing? Right now its like a tank vs a plastic hotwheels car, pathetic!

I used to think Sony had the best Exclusives but I am getting burnt out on FF and as much as I hate to admit it look at some of the 360 games comin soon, Gears of Ware, Elveon, Alan Wake, Fable 2, Forza 2. I agree that PS2 did nt have a rock solid lineup at launch but they had one of the best selling series ever MADDEN, that was the game almost everyone in line with me had when I was waiting at Best Buy for the PS2 Launch. 360 also had madden (although it sucked azz) PGR, Kameo, dont liek Kameo that much myself but I enjoy the PGR series. My problem with Sony is that they (mostly Ken) blatenly flap their gums and expect all their supporters to just fall in line and do whatever they want. Some of you seem like you would hand Ken a gun if he said he wanted to kill your mother, I mean cmon its a corporation who's goal is to make money, they could give a rats ass about us as long as we fork over the cash for their system
