@DancingCow To be fair L2 was probably one of the first games to really use that style in an MMO. It's been copied a ton.

I'm definitely going to go back.

Improved movement, tons of new content, and f2p that doesn't content lock you? Fuck yes I'm in.

I'm going to buy BF3 regardless of if it is on Steam or not... but god dammit if I don't want it on Steam.

If I do have to buy it through else where than I will hopefully be able to run the game through the steam client as an un-official game. Not being able to use the steam overlay would really suck.

It's pretty genius by Valve. 1 million is nothing when you're looking at starting a big advertising campaign for a company of their size. Doing a huge tournament like this, pulling in all of the best teams in the world to compete in dota 2 (and start a competitive scene for it) AND have it as a first look at dota 2... awesome.


Valve knows that the competitive scene matters a lot in these style of games. HoN is going to get crushed. LoL might live just because it is weird and different.

I could see them using something like the Frostbite engine really well in Mirrors edge.

To be honest though I just want a second one no matter what the engine.

Been watching SC2 all weekend. Some crazy games.

I love that it took the main stage this time.
