Xbox Live Vision camera turns player invisible

Apr 22nd 2007 10:27AM (Joystiq)
I had to watch this thing twice before I figure out what was going on - the problem: this story is titled incorrectly. Should say: Xbox Live Vision camera turns player translucent. At no point in time does this person become invisible during this video.

Today's comparingest game video: Virtua Tennis 3 360/PS3

At the beginning the 360 version says: Exhibition Match - the PS3 version says EXHIBITION MATCH.

First impression: Coded Arms Contagion

Sorry - off topic but any word on whether Landstalker PSP is at E3 or not?

"Anyone agree, or are you all happy saving the U.S time after time?"

I personally think it would be great for more games to be in locations other than the US. I live in the US and I see our uncultured, blah buildings with no real history everyday - to be able to escape to locations around the globe that I could never afford to go to in real life would be awesome. Admittedly, there are many games that are located in other countries, but these usually seem to be based on the past (prince of persia, samurai games, etc...) Locations I would like to play in (other than US):

Paris
London
Germany
Japan
China
Korea
Australia (outback would be cool)

There are some games that offer some of these locals set in present day (the getaway, ninja gaiden, dreamfall - i think).

"Maybe everyones's getting used to the "Wii"...
.. but "Wii Sports"?
that's gonna take a little longer not to sound bad"

Ah, yes - use the nunchuku to direct the stream of the golden shower. :-)

I'm using my 360 with VGA right now.

Live Anywhere bad news for gaming IM

"Whether this service will cost the same as Xbox Live Gold, or incur further charges, could be key to the success of other programs -- especially free ones -- in the gaming IM space."

Could this be the early signs of an ad supported "Gold" package?

Guess this means I'll be getting Vista, a smartphone with MSoft Mobile, and start using messenger. Might as well get a MSoft tattoo on my bum and have 10% auto tithed from my paycheck to MSoft I guess. I do like the idea of paying once for content and having it on all of them, though I'm assuming this is for LIVE arcade games only and not retail products.

"720p isn't the way to go. it saves nintendo millions"

I see your point here - I was assuming that since xbox1 could do it, then it must be easy for the slightly more powerful wii to do it too. Like Darth Pixel, I am concerned about the image quality of 480p on the HDTV - but I see now that it does indeed support widescreen so that is good. I sold my raft (old tv) and all my oars (old videogames and systems) to get my canoe :-) so I was just hoping that they might add support for it at the last minute. But if it would make it cost more, then I guess I'm against it - I'll be happy with widescreen support (I already spent $400+ for a 360, games, and accessories so I'll just have to be happy with that for my HD system).

Anyway, I agree that the fanboys get a little crazy here - I would normally be getting all three except for the price on the PS3 and my HD set doesn't do HDCP. How did you know so may joystiqers use firefox (i do too btw)? I couldn't live without tabs.

Wii first-party titles: old faces

WarioWare will be the game that sells me a Wii. I loved this game on GBA (never tried twisted! though). Even my wife played through that game and she never, ever plays videogames.

Zelda will be a must buy too.

The disaster game sounds promising. The sports game could be cool too - did I read that this game comes with the system?

Should be interesting to find out how much room you need between players to keep from smacking into each other.
