Konami's Hellboy to feature film cast

Actually, Doug Jones voices Abe Sapien in the animated movies (Blood and Iron, and Sword of Storms) and yes, his voice works nicely for Abe.

Today's freshest video: The Top Ten Douchebags of Gaming

Hmmmm... I think they could have left JT off of the list. There have been people going nuts before him, they just have been quiet while he makes a fool of himself. It feels like going through a "Worst monsters in D&D" and having Pat Pulling show up just before the Tarrasque.

What you can learn from 2006's top 100 selling games

Feb 12th 2007 3:05PM (Joystiq)
So, we have the counts for where the top 100 games fit for genres, and I can accept that, now, if only they put out a graph with profits from each of the different divisions, or possibly numbers sold. I know that by pure quantity that sports and licenses would still dominate, but, it would also give more of an idea as to where things fall for sales and popularity of a genre.

Logitech Control Center 2.1.2

Well, I'm just a new user, and may not have gotten everything right, but, when I hooked up my MX310 and installed mouseware, I couldn't set up the right mouse button to match the secondary function of the regular mighty mouse. I tried working with modifier keys, but, couldn't get that button to work the same. Got dashboard and expose working though...

Sony Defense Force is up in arms! One problem, though...

Sep 26th 2006 12:16PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Ummm... @Yeah?

14. Microsoft has thier secret dirty marketing force, hide in the dark shadows and boast all kind of lies and stupid rumors to downplay all thier opponents and brainwash ignorant Xbox360 fanboys.
Where do you think all that shitty nonsense Cell is broken, RSX downgraded, non-upgradeable hardrive, wired PS3 controller ... rumors came from ?
What did you call copying or steal ? PS3 and Wii motion sensing are completely different technologies, and neither was the first on the console market. If you said so than Xbox or every consoles with DVD drive are simply PS2 clones ?
Look at your Live Vision cam, what do you think it looks like ? Eyetoy rip-off ?
Xbox fanboys are tech-ignorant.
Don't pretend you are not fanboy, it smells like shit

And you can stop pretending not to be a fanboy also.

Also, "La"

Which received 10 "stars" for a being a great post. My point right there. It's biased clearly they need to stop with the one sided approach to all of their posts. Sometimes I tell myself it's like they only could have affored on console and are mad they bought one too early.

Can you at least research how stars work before you go spouting off?

The three heads of Sony speak -- region free PS3!

Sep 26th 2006 2:03AM (Joystiq Playstation)
@Ozymandias

But, wouldn't that be negated by the "All signs point to no" for component video cables? They probably could do something similar, as the 360 has a hardware switch on their cable, and were Sony to do that, they would still be able to use the same port for video output as on the PS2... (This is going by a rumor that the PS3 and PS2 use the same output ports, I'm too darn lazy to dredge up a picture of the PS3s backside to compare it to my PS2 at this time.)

@aka Bitter

I'll put money down that you just wind up with RCAs packed in with the PS3. If nothing else, they are the most reliable connectors to allow anyone to hook up a system with. Sony _may_ switch things up a little bit, and possibly offer a new connector that has RCAs (video + stereo audio) and S-Video, but, I'd say expect RCAs only.

Live Anywhere on a cell phone: First pics

Sep 11th 2006 6:23PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Hmmmm... So I'm taking this as:
a) I won't be able to get a special version of Hexic or Bejeweled for my cell that will sync with my XB360 version, or at least my username in case I get an amazing score...
b) I won't be able to queue up my downloads from work so that I can try out fresh game goodness when I get at home?
c) there is a _chance_ that I can update my friends list in realtime from my cell phone?

I'm just wanting to know if there is a chance that any of the functionality that I'd like to see show up to justify bothering with Live on a cell.

Awful CD-i Zelda games get remixed

Sep 9th 2006 3:02PM (Joystiq)
*shivers* I remember beating both Link: Faces of Evil and Zelda: Wand of Gamelon as a kid... can't these things just die as gracefully as abominations such as they can? *sobs* the nightmares are returning... can't they let me sleep?

Blu-ray makes good on its promise... lots of storage! [Update 1]

Aug 24th 2006 2:28AM (Joystiq Playstation)
I'm just wondering if all that extra space that they are talking about will also equate to extra game time, or how much extra content will be hiding in the background. With the size being bragged up, if it only lasts a couple of hours of actual gameplay, I'll be disappointed.

Now, were it a FF RPG that essentially had 5 complete games linking to each other, and at least 45 hours of gameplay, I'd be impressed by the size much more readily.
