I think the real purpose of that episode was to poke fun at guitar hero with liscensing from Harmonix, so the Guitar Hero name would be getting bashed but without any harm to rock band. That's my theory.

I would suggest FoF and the wired 360 guitar if you plan to get it for PC IMO
