Are the Rock Band 2 instruments really quieter? (A semi-scientific study)

not the Dallas Cowboys, but it's a start. Drop me a line if

[disappointed] Aw, the Denver Broncos!
Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
[a player tries to catch the ball, but falls]
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
[another player tries to catch, but hits the ball with his head]
Homer: [sighs] You just don't understand football, Marge.

Can rap find a place in music games?
Nov 28th 2007 12:28PM (Joystiq)Here's the thing that pretty much everyone has said, but no one seeing, there's bad styles within different genres.
Example, I personally cannot stand Dream Theater or Rush. They are great musicians, but I cannot stand it. Say we come across an alien and who has never heard of rock music and played nothing but Dream Theater and Rush. Well, I'm pretty damn sure that all he'll understand rock to be is a guy with a damn annoying voice singing nonsense for about 15mins with structures that change so damn often that it could be draining. Of course, this is my mental take on it, but it's an example.
Same thing with rap. There's a lot of great artist out there doing things that have an impact on rock.
For a game like rockband try these:

Good assumption on the Highschool buddies thing. Considering that I work at a musical retailer outlet, I have my hands on these peices of gear every single day. Yes, the Pod's have a place in the studio, but nothing can sound like a tube driven amp breaking up like a tube driven amp break up. Also, I've seen more Line 6 stuff get returned/exchanged because they go "faulty" faster than Mackie's recent powered speaker issue. Not to turn this into a penis measuring contest, but I've been at this for 12+ years.
Also, Reznor is not a fair guy to call upon since he gets his hands on every little piece of gear out there no matter how bad it is. Bad (sounding) gear can have it's place when used properly.
