You know what would suck? If they start doing updates and DLC characters and that sort of stuff for SSFIV and abandon the original SFIV buyers.

Companies don't exist to be pro-consumer - that would be charity. Companies exist to make money. They will be pro-consumer whenever being pro-consumer brings in money.

I really hate to say this...but think about it: retailers usually make just a few dollars off of hardware and less laughable profits off of the games, plus the traffic they bring.

In the case of the PSP GO, I would presume that retailers would actually make money off of the hardware, to justify them carrying it, hence the price increase. The fact that they won't be carrying any games for it to bring profits and traffic means that Sony needs to offer a substantially higher profit margin for retailers to want to carry it.

Patcher seems to ocasionally be so out of touch with the industry. Last generation did not start with the launch of the PS2, but the Dreamcast a year before. A system which had an incredible launch and had it's plug arguably pulled early.

This generation is way ahead of the previous.

lol who knows...maybe maybe not...but the point I'm trying to make is 300k units doesnt' substantiate a lead when the big picture includes millions of users. I really don't know what's gonna happen with Sony in the end this generation and no one does, but 300k? Does anyone really care about that number? Microsoft is breathing on Sony's neck.
