Actually, I read awhile back that the NA SNES pads was changed so that one set of the a/b x/y buttons would be convex, and the other concave since players responded more to touch than the actual colour of the button. Plus it looks less toyish :)

I did the exact same thing.. bought 2 weeks ago cuz i figured it would never go down.. sucks being impatient sometimes :)

So far the controls are pretty responsive on the PS3, more so than the controls in HDremix. But the Medium setting is def too easy on SFIV compared to HDremix
