I enjoyed the first one (though it became a chore toward the end and ultimatelly lost the will to finish the post-game bonus dungeon when my characters maxed out), I don't have much urges to get the sequel. Seems like it's just going to be the same game all over again, there wasn't even graphics improvement. I guess it's good for people who missed the first to get this. I just want to know if it has any extra appeal for people who had beaten the first already and not exactly wanting more of the same thing.
Kimiko: Taiwanese uses traditional Chinese, while Mainland China used that mess up looking simplified Chinese. Plus they're like enemies in many ways (the Taiwanese people I know get mad if you lump them with the Mainlanders).
Hi Mr. Khan, I'm a long time Fire Emblem addict, but I could never get into the Tactics Ogre/FF Tactics series (didn't like the all-look-same mercenaries, small maps, not-so-epic feel, slow battle, and get dull after awhile).
No you don't have to click the icon again (or at all) to use Boomerang or any of the tools. You only need to hold the L button and you can shoot out your boomerang/arrows/etc. when you release the A button. It's so easy to use.
Everytime I see screenshots of Japanese version, I just wish the Americanization of all games would stop using that ugly tiny font they had for most of their games (RPGs especially).
I'm one of those who's been waiting for the English version desperately (why can't Feb. come sooner?). To Martin: it's basically a collection of mini puzzle games packaged with a vintage J-Euro storybook look and threaded together by an engaging mystery. For those of us old enough would remember those 'brain games book' we grew up with back in the days, this game is exactly that, and I can't wait to experience that lovely nostalgia. The quirky faux-Victorian style (reminds me of those "World Literature" anime I grew up watching in 70s-80s) is a major part of the appeal for me. that's the appeal of this game. I'm always looking for some calming puzzle game with great presentation and high production value (meanin NOT crap looking like Brain Age), so I can't wait for this game.
