LucasArts games also going Direct2Drive starting with Monkey Island SE

I noticed that yeah, kinda sloppy if you ask me...

Did you also feel the need to drop down into "old skool" mode to do some puzzles? Combining items and things like that is easier in the old Scumm layout :-).

Piracy has always been more rampant in Europe, it's been like that in the 80s and seems to only have grown since.

What worries me is the amount of people that exclusively get their media (music, movies, videogames) by ways of piracy. For some entertainment is seen as a commodity that is freely available and not worth any payment.

I have no problem with sharing, but do buy some DVDs, CDs and games every now and then, you are diluting entertainment if you do not.

See first gameplay videos of Prototype

I got bored just watching the first video. Maybe they can hype it up with a really good demo, like Crackdown. Otherwise I'm just not interested.

Halo 3's Heroic Map Pack to be free this Tuesday

Too bad I'm in my "currently tired of gaming" phase. I get that every now and then and just every game I own seems boring to me...

I haven't played Halo for months, I'll probably get slaughtered in matches. Or does your rank go down when you stop playing for a while?

Condemned 2 Xbox Live achievements detailed

I will definitely get this game. Too bad that once again a game gets blessed with a multiplayer component hardly anybody will play.

I mean, in the last year or so I have played; Overlord, The Darkness, Blazing Angels 2 and Crackdown

All these games have an online component... most of those weren't that good. I dig (online) co-op but I don't need yet another incarnation of deathmath, capture the flag etc.

I wish the time invested in multiplayer could just be invested in tweaking single player. Also if you really need to add a multiplayer component, only make a minor amount of achievements depend on playing online.

Just a rant... I'm over it now

D(S)-Day: DS Lite storms European retailers

Jun 23rd 2006 4:20PM (Joystiq)
To #3, I had a black one with one dead pixel (actually it was working but only red). The shop exchanged it with a new one for me... so dead pixels aren't a problem.

D(S)-Day: DS Lite storms European retailers

Jun 23rd 2006 1:23PM (Joystiq)
In the Netherlands (or at least several stores in Rotterdam) they actually started selling them Wednesday. Seems like they don't care about 'official launch dates'.

I got two black ones on thursday. Put Hori's on 'em (Why don't they make these thing at the actual size of the DS screens? The one for the normal LCD is too big and the one for the touch screen is too small). Also got Bomberman DS, Brain Age (Dutch version) and Mario Kart. (Waiting for the New SMB).

As I type I'm trying to get Mario Kart to play online but there seem to be some connectivity problems. Not sure if that's on my side or Nintendo's side.
