Wow, that went over your head. I was pointing out the typo in the article.

Hey, where's Iron Fists outfit?!

I see Iron Firsts listed, but no outfit for the Living Weapon himself?!

Come on, CRAPCOM!

Resident Evil: Afterlife nets first place at the box office

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
or as the kids say, "pics or it didn't happen."

There are a few older Japanese games I can think of that border on art; stuff like "L.S.D." or "Vib-Ribbon," but the 32-bit era was pretty much the renaissance of gaming, and these days creativity takes a back seat to sales.

As a whole I would say that stuff like "Frontlines: Fuel of War" and "Left 4 Dead 2" kind of cancel out the whole "games as art" aspect of gaming.

Games are more like a toy, but nothing is wrong with toys.

@WMcPete
I've been gaming for 25 years and I am sad to report: Games are not art.

Not to say that this movie is art, though. A film can be art, just not a movie starring a super model that is in "3-D."

Unless they're both art in the same way Duchamp's 'Fountain' is art.

Call me Ishmael, but aren't all of these are public domain? Can Nintendo even charge for this? ...I guess they made the "software."

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions travels to 2099

What are you guys talking about? A game having anything to do with Marvel 2099 in any way, shape or form is just proof that there is no God.

Either that or there is a God and he hates me.

But, seriously there is no God.

Game Informer rates the best and worst Mortal Kombat fatalities

May 4th 2010 3:23AM (Joystiq)
I think maybe (I hope any way) he was being sarcastic. I remember playing the original Mortal Kombat and all of its subsequent knock-offs when it came out and I'm not even 28 yet. The series is 17-18 years old by my count.

There are only about 14 Mortal Kombat games across all platforms, so I have no idea what he was attempting what that odd bit of math.
