Scrutinize Halo director's CV (with videos)

Interesting. I love the look and feel of these. I should have guessed at the Ridley Scott influence -- especially because many of these had a very Blade Runner feel to them.

What's your PSP top 5?

Jul 24th 2006 9:56PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I can't believe you didn't list Daxter. That was the first PSP game that I had played that wasn't plagued with design sacrifices (i.e., long load times, awkward control of 3D movement, etc). My top 5:

1. Burnout
2. Daxter
3. Syphon Filter
4. Madden '06 (despite the mind-numbing load times)
5. Loco Roco demo (sad, but true... I can't wait for this game's release)

...and I'm either eagerly awaiting the release of the following, or waiting for a chance to pick up a copy: Tekken, NCAA '07, Madden '07, Ratchet

Price of MS Points on the rise?

Jul 18th 2006 4:43AM (Joystiq Xbox)
Funny... I've never looked into buying a points card, but I was at a couple Gamestop/EB Games stores today and noticed some of their prices were randomly high. For example, they had used copies of Nintendogs for $29.99 with new ones selling for 34.99. This surprised me because the Wal-Mart two stores down (on the same block) had a NEW copy of the game for $29.80 (or whatever weird cents amount they used to "rollback prices"). A nearby Target also had a new copy at $29.99. It looks like they're price gouging more than just MS Points.

Secrets of an Apple Tech Support Guy

Mar 13th 2006 9:28PM (TUAW.com)
I can't believe you completely left out the Apple-approved Multi-Purpose Mac Tool -- better known as an unbent paper-clip. =) Whether it was popping a stuck floppy out of the front of an old Mac SE over 15 years ago, or performing a hard-reset on an Aiport Extreme Base Station today, this is one of the most essential tools for any self-respecting Apple/Mac techie guy.

You're in Charge: What would you change about Apple Mail?

Oct 25th 2005 5:28PM (TUAW.com)
More than anything: the ability to selectively delete/remove individual messages from server (only really applicable when using POP). This one missing feature finally had me going back to Entourage, now that Microsoft finally sped up that apps super-slow performance. =
