Obama goes with Just Dance 3 over Dance Central, shames a nation
Dec 22nd 2011 12:39PM (Joystiq)No, the fact that this article needs a disclaimer isn't a sad commentary on Joystiq readers. Politics will forever remain a controversial and heated topic, so political debate is expect in a politically-charged article. The bottom line is that this article's sole purpose is to incite a flame war, which is really immature. Alexander Sliwinski is laughing at all of you. It probably involves a bet and a couple of $20 bills in the Joystiq corporate towers.

Xbox Live Companion app hits Windows phone, bests iOS app
Dec 9th 2011 11:24AM (Joystiq)Not yet at least. If the app can control the menu system on the Xbox, I don't see why it couldn't perform a simple on/off command. I'm hoping it will come in the next update. But its not a deal breaker. The app is pretty sweet.
New Xbox Live terms of service prevent class action lawsuits against Microsoft [update: opting out not allowed]
Dec 8th 2011 2:37PM (Joystiq)Hey people, nobody is obligated to use Xbox Live. Don't forget it is a service provided to you for a yearly fee of $60. If you don't like the service, or the ToS for that matter, you don't have to buy it. Just like if you think $60/yr is too high, nobody is forcing you at gun-point to buy the service. Sure, from a consumer standpoint consumers are being exploited here and people have a good reason to be upset about it. But the fact of the matter is that Microsoft can make up whatever clauses, rules, or waivers they want (no matter how ridiculous they are) if they want to because it is THEIR private service. If you have a problem with it, don't buy it. If enough people didn't buy Xbox Live Gold for reason of the overbearing tyrannical ToS, trust me Microsoft will rethink their position. They're a company and they just want to make money, plain and simple, but they don't "owe" you anything. Enact change with your wallet.

Xbox Live Companion app hits Windows phone, bests iOS app
Dec 8th 2011 1:59PM (Joystiq)Yep, that control function is seriously awesome. Last night I probably spent at least an hour playing around with it navigating the new dashboard. I showed it to my wife and she was really impressed. The app also has a Metro interface which complements beautifuly with the new dashboard. Can't wait for further updates to expand control over my Xbox - an ON/OFF control would really complete this app.

Nov 29th 2011 9:55AM (Joystiq)No enough stuff?? There are so many unique places that if you discovered and searched every single one, by the time you finished you will barely remember the first places you discovered, thus they will feel new again. Not to mention that some places are so cool you'll want to go back again and again.
