Star Wars 30th anniversary game, TV shows update

No hate comments here for the person who said no more SW anything...just a question. Why are you wasting your time reading and posting about SW if you hate it so badly? Methinks you doth protest too much.

Star Wars Boss Rick McCallum Admits Prequels Were Unsatisfying

Amen hulksmash. Personally I think the character development was fine, I don't see the problems everyone else sees. If one watches the originals with an open mind, you can see some of the same "stilted" dialogue and cheesy lines. It's just that everyone puts the originals on a pedestal and is still seeing them through the eyes of the 10 year old they were, and yet they are watching the new ones with the eyes of a jaded adult. Long live Star Wars...ALL Star Wars.

Star Wars Boss Rick McCallum Admits Prequels Were Unsatisfying

I think people really expected way too much out of the prequels. Most of the fan-base for the original SW movies were kids and teen-agers who had never before seen anything like it. Now, the SW fan base is 30 and 40 somethings who have seen every big budget special-effect and then some...and who put the original movies on a (well-deserved) pedastal which is impossible to live up to. As a die-hard Lucas-maniac, I loved every minute of the prequels, and look forward to the TV series with bated breath. Everyone who continually bashes the new movies continues to amaze me, because if you really felt they were THAT bad, why do you keep going to chat groups and websites for them? I would never visit a website for a movie I hate as much as some of you say you hate the new Star Wars. Give it a rest people, these are movies to be enjoyed for what they are, pure escapist entertainment. I, for one, thank Mr. Lucas for giving us 30 years of pure joy.

Star Wars TV Update

Personally, I say he needs to do whatever he wants to do. These are HIS movies, and while he did authorize the books to continue the story, nothing is "canon" except the movies. The rest are just a bunch of stories based on the characters. Most people take this stuff way too seriously, just enjoy them for what they are. People who constantly bust on the movies crack me up, if you dont like them why are you watching them, buying the videos, reading the books, and posting in forums like this? :)

Star Wars Episode III: Final Thoughts

Your entire review was lame. How can you say (and I quote) "A bunch of dupes who think there is something remotely intimate about an experience that involves Burger King", yet you put the original movies on a pedastal. Were you even there? Do you have any recollection of the fact that Burger King was a tie-in to the original trilogy as well, with posters, drinking glasses, etc? You "experts" with your reviews fail to realize that you put the original trilogy on a pedastal simply because they are "classics", yet they contain the same stunted dialogue that the new ones contain. Leia with the clunky line "Why must you confront him?"..is that any better than "Hold me like you did by the lake on Naboo"? No, it's only in the mind of narrow-minded reviewers like yourself. As to the person who posted the remark about Lord of the Rings...that entire shot was CG. All six Star Wars movies are wonderful icons of American cinematography, and if you don't like them, just stay away and review your "artsy" films.
