I hate that company more each day. I know that their products are generally sexy, but Jobs and company are so full of themselves. Microsoft used to be hated, but even in their day, they didn't act like this.

@Phucpholuc Actually, unlike most fanboys I can admit that Apple makes many great products. The Macbook lines, the nanos, the itouch, and iphone 3gs are all awesome. In fact, I am trying to think of a better laptop than the ones offered by Apple. For the record, I own two ipods and one itouch. That said, I think Apple has really shown itself to be a bad company lately. I know they are in the game to make money - all companies are. But I won't be buying another ipod and I am really happy with my open droid. Sure, it doesn't have every feature that the ipone does, but it has most of what the iphone can do and even does some things it can't. All that and it works any way I hold it - even without a bumper.

While I am a droid fan, I'm not thrilled with google either. The wifi scandal is pretty creepy. Both companies are only out for themselves, but I think that google gives its users alot more freedom with the android line. You can have your retina display. I will take a phone that gets better reception, doesn't drop the calls it can actually make, and allows me to customize it all the way.

Just another reason to hate Apple and all it stands for. Sure, they make a good product, but they are now the company they used to fight against. A huge, monopoly that censors reporters, gets the government to bust down doors, and forces people to yank parodies of their silly culture. Oh, and I forgot to mention their lame eyephone 4 that you have to hold a certain way.

Anybody know what app uses that little android notification icon in the top left-hand image above? I am a droid owner and I've never seen that notification before.

Can't wait for droid froyo. You think that the release of the froyo base has anything to do with the market going down?

@annoyingposter4 Sure..they are similar except for the wireless guitar, drums, microphone and the GAME. I understand your point, but rockband works out of the box with 50+ songs. Kinect apparently comes with nothing other than the hardware.

I am a father of 3 and it is $50 over what I will pay for it. That is too bad because my kids would love it. I realize that MS is in the game to make money, but I really think that this price point is going to be a problem for them. Only time will tell.

A question from a noob. Verizon, not Moto, pushed out the 2.1 update. Why are we waiting for Moto to finish 2.2? Will there be two 2.2 updates - one from moto and one from verizon?

@hated one I love how people assosiate themselves with products they buy. Hated, for example, feels "cool" because his phone is shiny and has an apple on it. Forget the fact that the phone has the crappiest network - one that makes it difficult to make a call in nyc. I love my droid because it works, not because of the way it looks. I am starting to hate apple. Between the chen/gizmodo crap and their shallow fans that need to have their i phones and imacs with them while they sip lattes at the starbucks. Get real. Please. Your equipment doesn't make you cool.

Newbie here with newbie questions. First, is this only for root users? Second, will it wipe out my settings (ie, email)? I need to know because phone belongs to work. I will wait for official release if everything needs to be setup again.
