Modern Warfare 2 'Stimulus Package' sells over 2.5M units in a week

Wow what is with this community! All these 12 year olds on here crying about having to spend 15 measly dollars for something that will provide .. dozens? of hours of entertainment... at LEAST.
Last weekend I went and saw Clash of the Titans 3D. Im sure a WHOLE bunch of ppl on this site did to. The movie was garbage and pretty much laughable, and I'm not freaking out about having to pay 11$ for admission, + 10$ for popcorn...
All that 21$ got me was 2 hours of terrible direction (and dialogue) and some dry ass popcorn!
So no, I don't care about buying the maps, they are awesome and anyone who likes MW2 ( APPARENTLY ITS COOL ON JOYSTIQ TO HATE ON POPULAR GAMES SO NONE OF YOU... ) will enjoy the hell out of them.
I mean really all of you on here calling people suckers and losers, its just sad. I could list probably 100 people in these comments who seem generally ecstatic about this news because they are able to throw in a comment about Kotick being evil...I mean wtf! this is ridiculous.

Lets see Clash of the Titans made like 70 mil in the first 3 days, and its really.. honestly not worth your money, so take a step back and stop hating on fellow gamers!

Resident Evil: Afterlife trailer adds a new dimension to the Zombocalypse

Love how everyone jumps on the ipad hate train even thought none of you have ever touched one.

vidguy seems to be tragically misinformed which is fine as he's not the intended consumer. Im assuming you're the kind of person who steals media off of the internet instead of paying for it, so of course you wouldn't want one.

If you're an honest consumer though who doesn't mind paying people for the hard work they've done be it music or movies, then the ipad is amazing. The itunes store is so far ahead of what the competition offers... cough cough zune cough, that its unfair to compare the two.

Further if you read books ( not you vidguy) then this thing is a real pleasure as the ibook store has thousands and thousands of bestsellers right at your fingertips.

No there isnt flash, but again just get a netflix subscription or wait for the announced HULU app coming in the next few months, if watching tv is what you use a computer for... I just use a pvr and tv myself, but to each his own i guess.

engadget really says it best in their review: "The buyer of an ipad is (...) an individual who simply doesn't need to get that much work done, and would prefer their computing experience to be easier, faster, and simpler. Does that sound like anyone you know?"

if you dont have a laptop and are tethered to a desktop, the ipad is a perfect companion. Also quit whining about the price of a BRAND NEW GADGET... dont you know how these things work? if your an early adopter, you pay the price. Wait around a few months and pay less. Simple.

@burymore If one does not own a laptop, this would make a nice companion to a tower pc.

Apple said to be preparing 12-core Mac Pros and 27-inch LED Cinema Displays

Also they'll probably have a usb 3.0 on their next model, as it becomes more widely used. I mean be honest, do you have any need for it at the moment?

@smithers Why does it need SSD? it already has 4 hard drive bays for up to 2 TBs of onboard storage, not to mention you could just by an external. SSD would just drive up costs.

Apple vs. Google gets personal: 'Steve Jobs simply hates Eric Schmidt' (video)

@nubbily Its funny all these high ranking comments from people claiming the lawsuits are BS.... when no one seems to have any idea about IP laws in their own country. To say that apple should not protect its intellectual property is ludicrous. Regardless of how its property was acquired (bought, stolen, whatever!) the law is on their side and they have every right to stop HTC from profiting off of their patented property.

Honestly its really sad to see all these people bashing apple simply because they are fanboys. And instead of intelligent conversation and enthusiasm, people choose to lower themselves to this pettiness. Makes coming to this blog much less enjoyable for me.

Xbox 360 Arcade currently $130 in Canada

Mar 15th 2010 5:01PM (Joystiq)
hmm well lets see.. XBOX 360 starter pack 109.99 at future shop: It includes a 60GB hard drive, an Xbox 360 headset, 3 months of Xbox LIVE Gold, and an Ethernet cable.
Considering I don't use wifi for gaming anyways its nice to not be forced to buy it like i would on the ps3. Also this package plus a new arcade would run you about 240....
A new ps3 with is 299 and has more HD than anyone will ever use. Also no headset either.

See with 360.. you get options.. which is nice.. not everyone needs wifi and live.. some ppl might just wanna play final fantasy 13 or other single player games.. and with a 360 you'll only pay 190$ total.. while on ps3 you'll pay at least 360$ lol.
