SOE confirms studio closures, cancels The Agency

Can we all agree as a society to stop using phrases like "streamline our global workforce." I can't imagine that it makes anyone feel the least bit better about a crummy situation.

RE5: Lost in Nightmares teaser goes back to the mansion

Nov 20th 2009 11:16AM (Joystiq)
Credit to the developers for recognizing that the daytime setting of RE5 was not the way to go, and bringing a more traditional RE feel (nighttime/creepy mansion) to this DLC.

Star Walk still out of this world (and you might get it for free!)

As a nerd, I'd love it.

Tiger Woods 10 gets Banff Springs DLC

Mike,

Thanks, you are correct in thinking I was refering to the PS2 version (I had not upgraded systems at that time). I wasn't aware that the 360 version only had 12 courses.

Tiger Woods 10 gets Banff Springs DLC

Considering that '07 came with over 20 courses, and '10 shipped with (I believe) 15 or 16, paying $7.50 per additional course is a but much. At this price point, it would almost double the price of the game to get an equal number of courses to just 3 years ago.

Also, charging $7.50 for Predator is non-sense. It's a fantasy (ie: made-up course) and therefore, there aren't any licensing fees. This course should cost less than Spyglass.

Analysis: GameSetWatch looks at the strength of SCEA IP

I couldn't really care how well a game sells. I'd much rather have infamous, uncharted, and motorstorm than rehashes of Gamecube games (namely, mario kart and smash brothers.)

I also like the fact that the PS3's in house and second party development teams are allowed to experiment with new IPs and develop new games. I'm sure this makes them much happier than being pigeonholed and forced to make sequels and franchises that they know are no longer interesting and relevant.

Rumor: PS3 firmware 3.0 'a completely new system' [Update: Sony responds!]

Wow, that post came out weird....lets try this....

The UI on the PS3 is great as is. Any of these features would just be gravy. If there were an area that could use improvement, the "gamercard" could use a redesign. The icons of recent trophies doesn't make much sense to me. I'd ratehr see icons for recently played games (similar to XBL).

Croteam seriously remaking Serious Sam for XBLA [update: It's coming to PC too]

I couldn't agree more. Blood was one of my all time favorites... Shadow Warrior and Sin would also be excellent additions.
