Glad we could get a white knight in here. Keep thinking critically!

Shifting Perspectives: How to provide professional feedback in Cataclysm

May 14th 2010 12:11PM (WoW)
This column was really focused on Druids!

Telling people how they should act isn't condescending at all!

This column certainly doesn't come off as a Blizzard mouthpiece!

This column doesn't just repeat things that Ghostcrawler has (more succinctly) said!

It's totally the place of this blog to tell people how they should act!

This column had something to do with ideas instead of just talking about how you can make Blizzard happy!

Can you think of any other statements about this post that are also as completely untrue as these?

A Hex on both your houses

Jul 1st 2008 11:45AM (WoW)
In fact, I read, ON THIS SITE, I think in the class panel post from WWI, the Blizzard designers explicitly stating, in response to this exact question, that Hex DOES prevent attacking and spellcasting. Try reading your own site, or at least reading up on the facts about the subject, before you make a post that, instead of providing clarity, will actually make more people confused.

WotLK: The rain is coming

May 5th 2008 4:10PM (WoW)
This weekend, 1up.com's Legendary Thread (MMO podcast) blog put out a call for questions to ask the WoW devs, because some of their staff would be going to the Blizz offices to preview WotLK alpha today (monday). So that's another sign pointing to "lots of new Wrath info coming soon"

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: What's not broke

Feb 8th 2008 4:13PM (WoW)
There's a very good reason why players should not roll new Warriors:

-They are the ONLY class that cannot participate in most aspects of the game in one of their 3 main specs.

Prot warriors are the ONLY class/spec combo that is useless in PvP. It also stands alone as the weakest soloing class/spec by a good margin, now that healers get spell damage on their gear.

The way that the game design interacts with prot spec is BROKEN. It would require major overhaul, not minor tweaks. DO NOT roll a new warrior until those changes are made. STOP levelling a warrior if you aren't 70 and haven't already committed a lot of time to gearing up. Unless you plan to ONLY PvP, and never, ever raid.

Any other class/spec combo can do decently in raids, 5-mans, pvp, and solo, all at the same time, without changing spec. Everyone but prot warriors.

Guildwatch: Caught redhanded, but too late

Jan 9th 2008 10:49AM (WoW)
Can't Quit You is the guild of the gaming website 1up.com (EGM and GFW magazines' website). They talk about it all the time on their WoW and MMO podcast, Legendary Thread. It was started as an uber-casual guild of lowbies, and got so big it split into two. I was under the impression that one part of the split was hardcore raiders, while the original CQY was full of people who liked to chat and mailspam each other pies and never got past level 50, but apparently that's not the case anymore.

I'm an avid listener, but lately their podcast has gotten pretty boring. The older episodes with Luke Smith are hilarious though (SCARAB LORD).

I highly recommend their GFW Radio podcast instead.
