If you only cared about Blu-ray and Netflix, you could've waited for prices to go down. I did. Otherwise you wasted your money on something that could do a lot more than just play Blu-ray.
More importantly, it would have saved you the trouble of making stupid comments.

What idiot buys a PS3 for Blu-ray and Netflix streaming only? Hell, you can buy a Blu-ray player that can stream Netflix for about a $100.

Mar 10th 2011 4:58PM (Joystiq)I haven't used Home in about two years, but the one thing that bothered me alot, was my avatar. I coudln't, for the life of me, get that thing to look like me. Not even close, either. Even my girlfriend couldn't help me. I spent hours more hours on it than I did walking around Home that I kinda' gave up.
I never thought Home was a bad idea(or a great one), but I just couldn't get over the fact that I had no resemblance of my avatar.
Pachter expects 360 price cut at E3, PS3 and Wii to follow suit
Mar 8th 2011 1:06AM (Joystiq)I'm basing that on how many times he's been wrong before, but also, because it's Sony who's dropped the price first this generation of console's.
They dropped the price from $600 to $500 and sales picked up a bit. When they dropped the price to $400, they began outselling the 360 for a while and Microsoft soon followed with a price drop. The PS3 then came down to $300 and outsold the 360 again and so Microsoft responded.
So I'm guessing the PS3 will have a price drop first before the 360 does. Microsoft's always been happy with the 360's price, given they outsell the PS3 month-to-month, but they drop the price to take back the sales lead. Here in the US, at least.
I'm no inustry analyst, though. But given Pachter's track record, I could be one.
