Report: Capcom sees 'no distinction' between on-disc and off-disc DLC

@UnnXandros

Because it makes no difference! You are still purchasing content that could have been released with the game. Except if it is off disc you can be a blind fool and be happy with purchase.

The agrument should be if it is ethical of dev to release content as dlc if they could packaged it with the orignal. On or off disc is irrelevant

@CaptainProtonX

So if the same dlc was off disc you would purchase? But how would you know the said dlc was not created and ready to be shipped like the orignal dlc? But the dev just decided for PR sake to keep it off disc?

I say vote with your wallet thru quality instead. Not off or on,because a lot of dlc could be either. If the game was jam packed with content satisfying to your standard, and the dlc offers much more quality to the gaming experience then i say purchase it. Help the employee earn a salary, and keep their job. Look at how many people already got laid off because lack of sales

Is funny how big of a difference marketing does for a company.

If Capcom kept their mouth shut and kept their DLC downloadable instead if off the disc everyone would be happy. Even if both content orignated the same way. Consumers just want to be lied to.

Being a good neighbor in SimCity

You must be playing it wrong. Because i do generally well in SimCity and end with a thriving metropolis, or if there was a joke in there that i didnt get, I apologize.

"This is not the game about building the greenest city, lower your carbon footprint and win -- 'good job!' This is a game where you're rewarded for many different states on where you want to take your city and it's really up to you where you want to take it."

Green is just a mean for them to get you to cooperate. Is the easiest thing to see influencing your neighboring cities. And it is an externality that other people cannot really do something to prevent, unless you are an airbender...

@WiredKnight

Good point. I guess the current-gen DLC got people Jaded. but i guess i'm just more optimistic, and like to give people a benefit of a doubt. And hope that bioware just made a creative blunder and trying to correct their mistake and appease their fans, and i really hope that is true, at least then bioware is still the company that i grew up to love

Wow we gamers are some ungrateful human beings!

Yes ending is bad and left us hollow, but now that Bioware heard us and wants to give us a little more closure and we still complain because we have to pay for it?

First of all, if they dont charge us for it as a DLC... whose gonna pay those extra hours spent on the new content from the devs? whose gonna pay those Voice Actors for their new lines? Theres no free lunch... content dont magically just appear!

Second, and I do mean we should be grateful. how many time have we read a book? watch a movie? a tv drama? and found their ending unsatisfying? Back then those content would remain just as they were at least now they are giving us a little more! At least this show they care and listened!

For those who said "this should be in the orignal game" well, thats just a creative difference. At least now the the dev is willing to do something about it! If you havent notice the cost of production, even a small DLC, cost a lot of time, and as the old expression goes "Time = Money."
