I think I speak for 99% of people here by saying STFUAJPG (Shut the **** up and just play games!).
Seriously, I've been to University and learnt these things, and can't even escape gender issues in English classes. The LAST thing I'm doing is coming home and wondering whether Mario is a gender stereotype.
Okay, this is by no means an attack on the man himself, but Robert's journalistic skills seriously have to be questioned. He is, as I would say, a "post whore". The amount of redundant stories he reports, even by blog standards, is astounding. Can any other Joystiq blogger seriously say that his 50 extra posts are actually interesting and improve Joystiq as a site? Probably not.
Gaming television is completely unnecessary. Especially with that little internet thing. And this picture reinforces what most of us already knew - both of these people are irritating TV personalities masquerading as "gaming experts".
People who are justifying this must be buying into Sony's bullshit strategy. It doesn't change the fact Sony said the HD era doesn't start until they say. The least they could do is give you the cable for said era! It really shows a problem with this mish-mash of a machine, how many of these "awesome" features will they keep packed in the box?
If you guys want to talk about price, how about this bombshell? In Australia, the premium costs $999. That's $772 US. Down here, people are going to look at the $650 360, look at the $999 PS3, notice the graphics and games aren't significantly different, and buy 360. One market destroyed before you know it.
Mario & Peach can't shake gender stereotypes
