May as well throw in a few other comments on how I did it.

No, I did not just park myself in the middle of Orgrimmar and continually RDF. That would be madness. No, I quested while waiting for my queue to pop. I figured I may as well see all the new world and new quests, and the dungeons that had the suck cut out of them.

Yes, I did purchase riding. And exactly one mount, the Black Hawkstrider. Once I realized what a doofus I was in dinging 81, (I was doing Mount Hyjal for gear, so I could meet the RDF requirements for Heroic Wrath dungeons) I decided to go back to AT and grind out Champion's Seals for either the Argent Hippogryph of Sunreaver Dragonhawk. Sadly, I never managed to get either. Got tired of the game, let my sub expire, now waiting for 4.1. But here's what I learned:

If you're going to try to do what I was doing, with the questing Cata for gear to do Wrath, for the love of Cairne, get as close as you can to level 81, then LOCK YOUR XP.

No, you don't need a flying mount for Icecrown/Storm Peaks/Sholazar. Technically. If you hit level 77 and you still haven't gotten flying yet, you can go to K3, and get a pair of Loaned Wind Rider Reins from "Honest" Max. It's basically a flying vehicle that travels at fast ground mount speed. Even then, it's not really needed.

Killing the fire elemental on the cliff in Crystalsong Forest for the AT daily can be accomplished by flying down to Wyrmrest Temple, and talking to Lord Afrasastrasz to get the quest "Defending Wyrmrest Temple", and then using the drake to fly north. If you're quick about it, you can land in Crystalsong Forest before it drops you.

It is possible to level to 85 without a FLYING mount. I have done it. See Keldareyn on Kirin Tor-H-US.

Why? Because Wind Riders are fooking ugly, and like an idiot, I didn't realize that as soon as you hit level 81, the game locks you out of using the RDF on Wrath dungeons. No H:Culling runs for me.

Shatter. BAM! Ozzy wins. God, I still have occasional nightmares of tanks screwing up on this boss again, and again, and again.

Yes, the devs did mention that they liked that idea, during a dev chat some time ago. Ideas tossed around by players were a saddle item, from what I remember.

I am *pretty* sure I still have Evonice's Landing Pilla... except given that we can actually *fly* in Old World now, being a druid mostly negates the need for such clumsy tactics.

If there's one thing that WoW should copy, it's Dhuum. Yes, Dhuum. Whenever someone gets banned/suspended/whathaveyou in Guild Wars, a Grim Reaper-esque figure named Dhuum comes along and kills you, in a very visible, very un-subtle fashion.

Hey Alex. You didn't even begin to mention the tunnel with the stone giants where people don't comprehend what "jump when quake is about to land" and the endlessly respawning stone spiders that aggro the Flayers. Or the walls around Slabhide's fight area that sometimes fail to despawn to let you back in after a wipe. Or the Sentries which will wreck a group if nobody kills them fast enough. Or the touchy pulls before Ozruk, all of them. Or the Rift Conjurers that will wreck a group with their summoned imps if not CCed or interrupted. Or the Bruisers that will wreck a group if the healer isn't on the ball. Or the Flayers, which will wreck a group if the tank isn't on the ball and steps out of their frontal cone. Or the Twilight Followers that will wreck a group if the tank decides to pull a Leeroy Jenkins on the last three groups.

What, me? Bitter? Oh, that's preposterous. Whatever gave you that idea? It's not like I've been using my hybrid Feral spec to save groups from anything and everything every time I run it. And I don't know where you'd get the idea that I've had to pick up and tank Ozruk after the tank bites it after the first Ground Slam. Really, you must be seeing things.

Tyler only handles Boomkin. Allison handles Bears and Resto, and Dan will be handling Cat.

%@#$%#$^, run back in, keep tanking, popping cooldowns sequentially.

Other tank comes back around 40 stacks, and hold Sindy *just* long enough to hand her off, then beeline to the ice block. I don't make it, of course, but the rest of the guild succeeds in downing Sindy for the first time.
