Naturally, I'm sure that the Lead QAs are bring in a pretty nice chunk of change, while the lower level QA guys that have been there for 1-3 years don't make near the average.

From what that survey usually shows, after 3 years is when QA starts getting a much nicer salary.

I'm actually starting a QA job at a gaming company in a few weeks. Lets hope it doesn't take me 10 years to move up. Haha.

It's a great game to play with others, imo. My roommate picked it up and three of us put a ridiculous amount of time on Pacifism and Sequence.

@Ballistic: I believe that with FFXI on the 360, you could pay the standard subscription fee, but you didn't have to pay the Gold fee if you didn't want to. I may be wrong about that, but that's what I heard.

Part of the reason why episodic gameplay is so attractive for developers/publishers is that they can actually make some money while they are creating the content. And you can minimize the risk of investing in something if it's episodic. You can cut the project off if it isn't generating enough revenue.

If you wait until it's all done, then companies lose those benefits entirely.
