BioWare docs defend subscription model, tease free-to-play iteration of classic IP
Dec 28th 2011 8:09PM (Joystiq)When you pay "full price", as you call it, you are paying $50-60 for a game that, in this day and age, you will get MAYBE 50 hours from, at the absolute most a hundred.
But, when you pay $40 for a MMO, and then pay the monthly sub, you are getting, and this is no hyperbole, THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of hours of gameplay.
So, you tell me, which is the better value? 50-60 bucks for MAYBE a hundred hours in the rarest of cases? Or 40 + monthly sub for THOUSANDS of hours?

Oct 17th 2010 3:59PM (Joystiq)If you mean joking about them being better then the Final Fantasy of the same period...they most definitely are WAAAY better then early Final Fantasy's. Graphic, story, and game-play wise the Phantasy Star series is FAR superior to early FF.
If you mean joking about part 3 being fairly good, then no I wasn't joking about that either. It's certainly not as good as the rest of the series, but it's not terribly either.
And although I didn't say it, the Phantasy Star RPG's are also far superior to the PSO series as well. I mean, the PSO's are alright, and fun games in their own right, but I wish they would've given them their own series name so there isn't confusion between the two.

Oct 17th 2010 3:17PM (Joystiq)I really hope this isn't just a remake of the originals, although that would be nice too, but another true sequel to the main series is what I really want.

NBA Jam East rosters revealed, legends included
Sep 8th 2010 11:41AM (Joystiq)Here's hoping EA smartens the f' up and releases this as a separate download on XBL/PSN. I do NOT want to buy a $60 NBA game I'll never, ever play, to get this one only worth about $20-30, and I doubt many other people do either. This was an asinine decision on EA's part, I mean, they obviously did it hoping to boost sales of NBA Elite 11 or w/e the frig it's called, but I don't think it's gonna work.
IMHO, they'd make a lot more separating the 2 and making NBA Jam it's own game for download on XBL/PSN for like 1600pts ($20). I'd buy it, no doubt.
