I'd never touch one, but I do like the categorized icons. I wish iphone had something like that instead of having to manually move everything into some kind of sane order.
I can't decide in my head if this is awesome or awful. I did buy my sister the Sega robot chick things and she loves them. But if I bought a fake cat, would I feel guilty for not getting a real one from the pound?
I'm not entirely sure why Nintendo should care about modders if the modders can't even find the damn systems. Do they think all of the elite few who are priviledged enough to own one will happen to hack into it?
None of these polls mean shit since Nintendo refuses to produce enough to get into stores in a timely manner. Even if I saw a Wii now I'm too pissed off to want one. Nintendo really blew it. Not only for themselves, but for the game developers who have games collecting dust on shelves.
"Love it or hate it, it's a hot-selling system and looks to take over the lead pretty soon.

There's only one problem...THEY AREN'T PRODUCING THE SYSTEMS!!!!!!!!!!!! All this bullshit talk about broader markets and low prices is completely irrelevent when you can't fucking walk into a store and buy one. That is a FACT. It will remain a FACT for a very long time.
People always say Nintendo is producing this much or that much, but the bottom line is no one in the US is seeing them. So it's either a lie, or incredible speculation at this point. At least Sony had an excuse for their incompetent manufacturing. Nintendo is just being a dick.
Not to interrupt the current arguements, but doesn't Nintendo have to actually PRODUCE 35 million systems in order to sell them? That is something they are very clearly not doing.
Well, the diehards can defend Nintendo all they want. Great, fine. I only know that I have been disgusted by both Sony and Nintendo by their refusal to even acknowledge their catastrophic blunders.
I would like to buy a PS3 and play Virtua Fighter. And seeing how I see them in Target every week, that wouldn't be an issue. But I refuse to be fed the leftovers of a horrible launch plan at the same price as those who bought one 6 months ago. When it's 20% off, I'll consider it.
It's the exact same deal with Nintendo. I even passed up Wii a couple months ago because my excitement for it turned into me rolling my eyes and saying whatever. I will not be fed tablescraps by these companies. I decided instead to put my money into kickass home theater stuff.
People can cite these numbers and those numbers until the end of time. But the bottom line is, both Sony and Nintendo utterly failed at keeping me on as a customer. And I can't possibly be the only one.
I agree about the double standard. Before either system launched, I was all about the Wii. I bought into all the bullshit about actually being able to get one unlike PS3.
Now...fuck Nintendo, fuck Sony. How do they expect me to buy all those games on the shelves if I can't even find the fucking system?
