eBay's PS3/Wii auction cancellations are a good move

Oct 14th 2006 8:40PM (Joystiq)
Does it ever occur to anyone to just wait until you do see these items in stores, or in stock online?

EA Sports perfecting mediocrity

Oct 4th 2006 9:29PM (Joystiq)
I knew it I knew it I knew it. Once consoles got their hands on hard drives, it wouldn't be long until publishers released unfinished, glitchy games and tell the fans to stick a patch on it later, just like PC. The trend will only become widespread. There's no stopping it.

Stop the presses! Positive PS3 news!

To #27's point, how many people bought more than one PS2?

Goodbye Computer Gaming World, hello Games for Windows magazine [update 1]

Aug 2nd 2006 8:40PM (Joystiq)
Isn't it a bit too late to revive interest in computer games? These companies don't seem to give a shit about quality PC games anymore, as they are content to release buggy, half completed games and expect everyone to wait 6 months for an update(I'm looking at YOU Lucasarts).

Sega confirms pair of PS3 launch titles, no exclusives

Jul 6th 2006 3:04PM (Joystiq)
I'm buying a PS3 for Virtua Fighter. It's no different to me than buying a $600 Japan Saturn for Virtua Fighter(traded everything I had, including 3DO).

The way I see it, $600 is still hella cheaper than the thousands of dollars for the arcade unit. Perspective is fun.

Rumor: Assassin's "confirmed" for 360 and PC [update 1]

Jul 5th 2006 12:52AM (Joystiq)
Damn, that leaves Heavenly Sword and Virtua Fighter as reasons to buy PS3. Not only that, but Gears of War is a reason to buy 360.

Return of the Dreamcast ... sort of [update 1]

May 31st 2006 5:55PM (Joystiq)
I spent the most time on Dreamcast since Nintendo, by far. No other system existed in my world. It really was ahead of it's time. It was the only system, besides Neo-Geo, that could faithfully reproduce entire arcade games to 99% accuracy. And Sega was the king of innovative gaming.

(The revised) next-gen console size comparisons

The PS3 is a computer. I don't see the size problem.

A look at how the PS3 got to be $600

May 27th 2006 5:34PM (Joystiq)
Wouldn't people who could afford PS3 also afford a 360? Poor people make me sick as well, but I doubt anyone involved in this industry is poor.

PC games get console packaging

May 21st 2006 2:40PM (Joystiq)
I can't wait to buy games on memory sticks. Then the packaging would be really small. Discs seem so archaic now.

Then again, by that time, we should be able to just download any game we want. Computer games on shelves will cease to exist.
