Australia may join the MadWorld after all

Oct 8th 2008 9:18AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm an Aussie, and i WILL play this game. I don't care what has to be done, but i'm sick of our government pulling this crap. I am an adult, I should be able to decide what I play.

Wii Warm Up: Your favorite reveal

Oct 8th 2008 9:15AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Punch-Out, oh my god i seriously almost cried when it was announced. The NES game has some of my fondest childhood memories associated with it, and I'd love to go a few more rounds as Little Mac.

If the Wii version isn't good, people will die. That's not a threat, it's a promise.

Wii Warm Up: Opponents

Oct 7th 2008 9:44AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Wooooooo, I just beat Tyson for the first time ever, i've owned the game since i was a little kid, but I beat Tyson for the first time today! Sorry, had to tell someone.....

I would second the super macho man suggestion, and do want Don Flamenco back. Make it happen Nintendo

Wii Warm Up: Are you satisfied?

Oct 5th 2008 7:15PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I am at a complete loss as to how somebody could say "no" to the question. I don't own all three consoles, but I follow the industry pretty closely and I'm sure that the Wii has the best '09 line up as of yet (and let's not forget that Nintendo likes to announce titles close to the release date, so there's plenty more in store). The other consoles have some pretty heavy hitters out over the holiday season, and the Wii might take a sales hit, but we still have Disaster (live in Europe :D), Animal Crossing, GH World Tour, as well as recent releases such as MM9, de Blob, Bomberman Blast and still others i'm sure that i've forgotten.

Then next year we get games like The Conduit, MadWorld, Red Steel 2, Fatal Frame (hopefully), Punch-Out, Dead Rising, Deadly Creatures, Rygar, The Play for Wii titles, and dozens more i've left out.

So please, tell me what it is that you want? Why are you dissatisfied when you look at that great list of titles? What WOULD make you satisfied?

Nintendo conference video reveals one billion new games

Oct 2nd 2008 5:05AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Echoes of time is a DS and Wii mixture game, like Four Swords was for GBA/GCN. It's not a port, it just looks that way.

Yarr! New homebrew program runs DVD game backups

Sep 16th 2008 4:43AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm pretty excited, I mean yeah this is likely to encourage piracy but that's Nintendo's concern, not mine. I doubt the average Wii owner has the technical expertise to pull this off, so it will have a negligible effect at worst.

I would probably employ a "try-before-you-buy" policy, as one of the above posters talked about. I'm a poor uni student, so I can only afford to buy AAA games, and I miss out on those less-appreciated gems that I could buy in previous generations.

Sonic and the Black Knight is totally real

Jul 21st 2008 9:09AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Hear that? The gaming society just let out a collective groan. Please Sega, if you have a heart Sonic will die at the end of this game, just so we don't have to endure any more franchise-tarnishing pieces of trash.

Wii Warm Up: Motion controls ... plus

Jul 15th 2008 8:41AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Red Steel 2, and also Zelda. (Possible for Mad World)

I'm not too happy about the idea in general though. When you fork out pretty big money for something centred around motion control, you don't really want to dig in again to get the full experience. It should have come like this straight out of the box, because now to get a new controller we'll need a wiimote, a motion plus and a nunchuck. The wiimote may end up the most expensive controller.

Animal Crossing Wii @ E3 FTW ZOMG ... maybe

Jul 9th 2008 10:21PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
This will probably be that "big game" that Reggie was talking about, a bit disappointing. Animal Crossing is a heavy hitter, but I was kinda hoping for a Kid Icarus or new IP. Can't rule those out yet, but it's pretty unlikely.

Bargains on Bully and bullet hell

Jul 7th 2008 1:34AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Any word on when this is coming to Europe? I was super-hyped for this game, but I haven't heard anything about a PAL release.
