Nintendo confirms Wii price: $unannounced

May 14th 2006 1:37PM (Joystiq)
Sony has nothing at this year's E3. They have nice graphics w/ no good franchises, all new games that ppl won't pay $600 for. There was no Killzone 2, and I don't think they even showed a new Devil May Cry. Nintendo, on the other hand, has Zelda, Mario, Wario, and Smash Bros. And btw, Joystiq writers, please don't beguile us with your promises of confirmed prices. I got all excited for nothing.

Wii impressions: Super Mario Galaxy

@ #20, you're right about the controller being commonplace, but a 3-handled controller for 2-handed humans was still an absolutely TERRIBLE decision. But still, every other company has done something similar, with the old Xbox controller for octopuses and giants, the PS3 Bananna-Batarang, and the rehashed PS3 controller.

Wii impressions: Super Mario Galaxy

@ #9,
I feel the urge to correct peoples' spelling just like you, saviorofhyrule, but on forums no one like a grammar nazi, just resist.

But getting back on topic, the game looks fun. I personally loved Sunshine, and thought FLUDD was actually a nice addition (although I never played Mario 64, so I can't make that comparison), but I can see why some people would like Galaxy more. It adds new content but stays closer to the simple mario style. I'm still most excited about Zelda and Red Steel, though. Wii will definitely own with those at launch. Can't wait till quarter 4!

The real PlayStation 3 controller revealed

Crap! It's true! That's got to be the worst business ethics I've heard of in my life, but on the other hand, just cuz you can tilt the PS3 controller doesn't mean it will be a virtual sword, bow aimer, gun, bat or tennis racket like the Wii controller. This doesn't really steal much from Nintendo, but still, screw you Sony for stealing ideas. Stick to your old idea: the enormous batarang w/ buttons. That was the least functional controller since the original Xbox one, but at least it was original.

The real PlayStation 3 controller revealed

I'm still getting a Wii. Frankly, it's actually hard for me to believe Sony made the controller motion sensitive. Although it's certainly a Sony-esque thing to rehash an old outdated, non-ergonomic controller (the gamecube one was more comfortable), it's not like them to steal from nintendo. I always knew that Sony was heartless, idealess, and bent only on profits obtained from overcharging for their products, but this is really surprising. Btw, I'm going to look for some documented proof of the motion sensitive ps3. I'll post if I find anything new.
