Modern Warfare 3 preview: Two heads are better than one

May 29th 2011 4:22AM (Joystiq)
To me this whole trailer is a ripoff of the BF3 trailers that have been released. It's not exactly the same but legal plagiarism rarely is. It does however cover the feel of the BF3 trailers with the staticy bass playing in long tones. The soldiers look more like the BF3 counterparts at least from this trailer. I haven't really enjoyed a COD game since they abandoned their PC followers and just keep turning out the same crap over and over with no real innovation. In my opinion MW1 was the last decent COD game produced, the rest are just copies for the masses. Either I read it that the MW3 maps are larger and I'm curious if they're trying to work on BF's segment of fans a bit with that decision or did they just realize a sniper rifle is pointless in a 100yd square map.

Anyways they'll never touch BF's improvements and ingenuity. Too bad the console minions drive the sales these days and make it look like its a better game as they jump off the cliffs like lemmings in order to get their copy. They just don't know better.

First Mortal Kombat: Legacy episode now available

@Vcize

Helo was the characters name on BSG.. And you're kidding me he was a great character.

7 of 9 (Sonja)is looking a lil worse for wear. I miss her tight 1 piece from Voyager. She was the only reason to watch that series.

Michael Jai White (Jax) was decent but the fight scenes weren't that smooth.

All in all a good video tho.. I'm sure the pace will quicken in due time. More action more favorite characters. I'm assuming these were the least loved characters anyways.. at least they were my least fav.

APB developer Realtime Worlds entering administration

What did they really expect?

The game double/triple dipped the consumer
You bought the game
you paid a monthly subscription
and it had micro-transactions

It wasn't a true MMO that required a monthly service fee. Even if it was then there shouldn't have been real world micro-transactions if you pay for the monthly sub. If you do have the transactions then make the game free to play. Not all 3 at once.. that's an insane price structure.

that's not even taking into consideration the complete lack of story line or structure. Numerous exploits and poor level design. Lack of multiple locations since you're restricted to 2 action areas. The ballistics engine if any was absolutely horrid, there wasn't enough of a difference between guns to make them worth while. The driving physics was like from a cartoon. The game should still be in beta to this day, plain and simple.

It's no surprise that the game is failing. I purchased an extra month only to play it with my cousin since he liked it somewhat. LOL I say good riddance to a terrible game.

Final, Ultimate Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions universe revealed

"So, he's basically like the guy from Prototype, only he's much less inclined to eviscerate every single civilian that wanders into his field of vision. How nice! Look for our multi-dimensional preview of the game later today."

Or give credit where credit is due and the guy from Prototype is a direct rip off of the symbiotic suits from spiderman first appearing in '84/'85.

That's kinda like saying COD MW was the first to have stat progression and unlocks.

Video: Seth Green pitches Dragon Quest IX to teens

Jun 30th 2010 11:22AM (Joystiq)
@Jack Spicer

It's called an obscure reference of sorts. Seth Green is known for them throughout his shows such as Robot Chicken and Family Guy. I'd think he would take it as homage.

Not to mention joystiq does this quite a bit, throwing blasts from the lil known past about subjects. Nothing to get bent out of shape about. Please go and hug your Seth Green stuffed animal until you settle down ;)
