Locking a gsm phone that is subsidized is perfectly fine if they unlock it after you have paid the subsidie off. Other wise it should be illegal. I buy the phone I own the phone. Sony can't tell me that I can only play Sony Studios cds in my Sony cd player. It should be the same with a phone
