Detroit 3 pull out of 2009 Tokyo Motor Show

They won't be missed. The only American cars that get oohs and aahs around here are classic muscle cars. The only "American" cars I see here are rebadged Suzukis.

Detroit 2009: Lexus HS250h, world's first dedicated luxury hybrid

Jan 11th 2009 12:39PM (Autoblog)
Great, now those self-righteous Prius owners have something to trade "up" to. The only reason why they own a Prius is because everybody knows it's a hybrid. They wouldn't dare buy a Civic hybrid because somebody might mistake it for a non-hybrid.

A Prius owner in a Lexus. Starbucks and Trader Joe's just became more obnoxious.

78-year old's Nissan Pulsar impounded after AU street race with Skyline

Jan 10th 2009 8:04PM (Autoblog)
That's not a Skyline in the picture, it's a GT-R. You wouldn't put a picture of a Cadillac CTS and write a headline saying "78-year-old's Nissan Pulsar imounded after AU street race with Corvette"

Nissan GT-R SpecV unveiled!

The ZR1, which will be sold at the Yanase dealer network in Japan, will be about $220,000 as stated by Car & Driver Japan.

$170K for the GT-R SpecV? I'd laugh if it smashes the 220,000-dollar ZR1's preformance.

Keep in mind that the yen is much stronger than the dollar, which is why it comes out as 170K. You also gotta keep an open mind that not all car fans and autoblog readers are in North America.

It's 170K for you, yank, because the dollar (when compared to Japanese yen) is worth less than the paper it is printed on.

The overhypification of this game has begun. I bought this game on its release date, Christmas Day, and I am about 30-35% done with the game. The game feels more like a chore than a fun RPG. I wouldn't call the game boring, but it's not keeping me as interested as I thought it would. It feels like Final Fantasy XII, only less fun. If you thought FF XII was a snoozefest that dragged on and on, this game won't please you. I find myself going back to replaying Senjo No Valkyria and X-Edge to wash the taste of this game out of my mouth. Of course this is just my opinion and should be taken lightly.

For those who feel cheated that Japan (or the States) gets games first, we still haven't gotten World At War, and we never will. The next Call Of Duty game for Japan will be Modern Warfare 2. All the PS3 fans here really want World at War and some are paying insane prices for imports. World At War will NEVER be released here due to its content. Someone told me it makes Japan look bad, and I just said "It's probably just telling the truth." For those who don't know, Japan loves to censor history. Just pick up any high-school level history book in Japan and you'll realize this quickly. You'd think there were pages missing, but nope, they're all there in consecutive order. My high school cheated me! lol.
