Metal Gear Solid Rising getting re-done graphics engine

Jun 15th 2009 10:17AM (Joystiq)
@ The Baron

Yes Crysis fits on a dual-layer DVD but to install its recommended you have 16gb free space, although I think its a 12gb install. So technically it won't fit on one DVD, although with compression etc its not impossible.

To point out, I do agree with your point, MGS4 wasn't a dual layer DVD because of super textures only the PS3 could handle. It was because of the huge amounts of cutscenes and content on the disk. Like it or loath it thats as much a part of MGS as the gameplay and without it MGS won't feel the same. I can't imagine how they are going to squeeze all that on a DVD, anime cutscenes here we come :(

@ Dale

FFXIII and versus both use the Crystal Tools engine, not Unreal 3.

First user created UT mod for PS3 released

i don't think it does, the ps3 version runs a bit slower than the pc version to make up for using a pad which means no croos-platform play! sure there will be plenty of people to frag tho! and it supports kb + m if u prefer (like me!) ;)
