I understood his message to say that hating a person is different than hating what they do.

To that I would add that it's within reason to love someone while not loving what they do.

There are a lot more FPS than platformers. FPS fans accept this situation, of course. The rest of us can barely tolerate it, but still we game on. We'll even accept FPS fans as friends, though some can't be tolerated. However we'll never accept the notion that it's a good situation. We accept that it exists, but we won't accept a FPS (even as a gift). Some people who accept that there are too many FPS will find things intolerable, and work towards a remedy.

To accept that there are others who are different is to tolerate those who are different. But for one to accept the qualities that make an other person different is to embrace those qualities for oneself.

My take:

All things can be tolerated safely; to accept all things can be hazardous. Regardless, nobody in the world should be forced to accept or tolerate anything.


While only the masterful will tolerate everything, the acceptance of all things is sublime.

The game's authors knew that strong feelings would be incurred by their project, no doubt this was the game's genesis. But unknown by many is which agenda will be most advanced as result: that which benefits from people so inspired, or that which benefits from people so alarmed.

The announcement of the game coincides with a critical moment in global history. The U.S. is presently being forced its own hand concerning its presence in Iraq. The choices made now will strongly influence which paths will be available toward its eventual engagement with Iran.

No matter which path is taken, on the horizon is the strengthening possibility of global nuclear war. And on this path, with it the U.S. takes us all, on Earth, present and future.

Stores world wide have a potential to sell for 744 hours in 31 days. Were all stores open at all times, 744 hours would be the actual duration of sales time. As is at present, there are stores world wide, always open - but likewise - there are stores world wide open only sometimes.

In 31 days, the number of sales hours for all stores world wide will be 372 hours, less half the hours of non sale (of stores open only sometimes), plus 372 hours (of the stores always open). The total is a duration of time much more than 372 hours, but substantially less than 744 hours.

Also of importance here is the ratio of influence that is had by stores always open, to those open only sometimes; as well is the duration of time from 5/15/06 to 6/22/06 that stores open only sometimes were not selling.

It's evident from this display that, like much of taxpayer millions, most of this 7 million was spent on personal interest - and to appease the people who allowed it be spent.

The number is to make it seem that NSMB is being sold at a higher rate than it really is? - You could indeed watch a clock tick off a minute and say "10 copies of NSMB where probably just sold!" - in the specific frame of time defined in the press release. It is because of that truth - and leniencies given toward business - Nintendo can release such claim.

And it's a nature of the current state of interest promotion - and specifically, promotions of self interest - to imply facts, upheld by "convenient" attitudes.
