Reggie: Metroid Other M is a 'more traditional' Metroid game

Jun 12th 2009 11:32AM (Joystiq)
Not really, I have been dissing Nintendo's strategies left and right this generation, but I do get what he means with "more traditional"

Metroid for me was about fast paced action/exploration with "tight" battle mechanics, and Prime took away most of those aspects from the series.

From what has been shown, this game is not only fast paced, but since Team Ninja is co-developing, there are great chances of it having great battle mechanics as well. I'm just waiting to see what is the degree of exploration available on this game.

Well, truth, although the only time I found dubs being better than the original voices was for Dragon Ball, the spanish (mexican) cast was just so much better

Hopefully ADV doesn't get the rights to it, I would hate to see Greenfield once again shoehorn in Tiffany Grant....

Although I would love for this franchise (oh come on, anime, manga, game and possible sequel, it can be called a franchise!) to get more attention, I'm pretty sure I will hate the english voices ._.

Two completely different games, different genres, different audience, different teams...

Sega would have an even tougher situation with Yakuza in the US, not only because the NA market is crowded with sandbox games, but because the PS3 userbase is not as in demand of Action/Adventure games as it is of RPG's in general.

Unfortunate really, but if Sega decides to release it, hopefully it pays off for them, they deserve it ;(

that's why I said that the DS is barely capable of handling 3D animations, hence why it isn't likely to find this kind of game on the DS (even the DSi)

Also, don't take it in a bad way as you might be new and not know about it, but on the bottom right of each comment there is a "Reply" option, it helps follow a conversation :]

the DS (even the DSi) can barely handle 3D animations, and you want it to accomplish this?....
