Sony welcomes Xbox 360 to 'Elite' HD experience
Mar 27th 2007 8:14PM (Joystiq)this PR bullshit is just that- bullshit. none of these consoles are perfect: the 360 is reliable as a meth addict and really freakin' loud, the wii is underpowered and currently suffers a dearth of good games, the PS3 is in the same situation and has issues with price and HD support on older CRT HD-TVs, so the idea that one console can "win" is insane. just compare the list of features you need, price, performance etc and make the right choice for you.
THE POWER IS YOURS.

Jan 18th 2007 2:29PM (Engadget Mobile)Or maybe not. Google has been buying up unused fiber-optic lines for years now, the so-called dark fiber that was installed in the 90s in excess of demand. All they would need to do is tack on some WiMax transmitters or the like and turn the thing into a country-wide hotspot. If the phone was voip, they could completely cut out the telcos. Nifty idea.

Nov 12th 2006 12:29AM (Joystiq)To this extent, having to pause to read signposts, while seeming to be nit-picking provides an awkward disconnect forcing you out of the game world for a moment. This review was not to say "Zelda sucks because I have to stop to read signs" but that it is a symptom of Nintendo failing to move forward in certain aspects of game design. The colour pallate thing is perhaps a matter of subjective opinion, but then, so much of a game review is subjective.
Also, you need to take into account that this was not a full fledged review, just a preview and he stated that there was a lot to like about the game. I think it's actually nice to get some feedback about the system that isn't seen through the rose coloured glasses that most people use when talking about the Wii simply because it has an innovative control scheme. In short, the hostility towards this article is unfounded and unreasonable. If you like the system and the games, buy it, but don't flame others for having different tastes.
